So I came up with Gachason like- last year after chapters 3 and 4 came out. Now that I’m in a drawing spree and I’m back in Deltarune brain rot, I figured I’d actually draw him!

Gachason is an Addison, just like Spamton and the other Addisons, who represents gacha games, loot boxes, and other random chance based transactions.

He becomes friends with the Addisons after Spamton became a big shot, so Gachason and Spamton’s paths never crossed. Though Gachason *did* look up to Spamton during his Big Shot era.

Gachason used to make money selling loot boxes, and had a side hustle selling Cyber Whales (emphasis on side hustle. A decent chunk of *that* money would go into keeping the Whales fed, happy, and healthy). He made it big once he stepped into the world of Gacha games.

Gachason can still make loot boxes. Some of them he actually has to make (the ones with actual items inside), but he can conjure up loot boxes that have one time magic attacks for others to use.

When Spamton disappeared, Gachason shot for the role as Big Shot and easily won the prize. He expected his odds to be lower, but his friends and competitors never joined the competition.

After becoming a big shot, Gachason started to get paranoid about the exact details of Spamton’s disappearance, and worried the same could happen to him. As a result he’s been trying to follow leads and rumors about Spamton, but hasn’t actually asked or found the man himself, and he doesn’t think the other Addison’s know either (they’ve been dodgy but so has everyone else).

As for his attacks, his primary (and “original”) attacks are all star based. The one in the drawing is a shooting star themed attack.

He ‘borrows’ attacks from other Darkners. All them are random though, and he doesn’t know which ones he’ll be using until it happens. The only thing non-randomized and controllable are his own attacks.

Whenever he does an attack, a banner appears on his spear with differing amount of stars based on the strength of the attack. A basic example of this would be; 1 star = basic attack, 2 star = mini boss attack, 3 star = boss attack

I don’t think he’d be able to access secret boss attacks, but *maybe* he could if he were a secret boss? I have some fun ideas for how that could happen… maybe the same entity that screwed Spamton over told that it could tell Gachason everything he could possibly want to know about Spamton’s fate if he just *listened*.

Some other fun things:

He has a pet Cyber Whale. It’s big enough to ride on. He loves the big lug. It’s his mascot.

Cyber Whales eat money and grow in size the more money it’s eaten.

None of the Addisons are related in my own takes. Gachason is just a good friend of them. In universes where the Addisons are a family though, Gachason is a distant cousin.

A nickname for Gachason among friends is Gacha-san.

Gachason is willing to help his friends out if they need it.

Lives in the Queen’s mansion.

The basic idea is “what if Deltarune but it’s No Man’s Sky?”

The Dark Worlds are now different star systems, and the Darkners are mostly Korvax, Gek, Vykeen, and Travellers (most important Darkners are going to be Travellers so I can keep their original appearances!).

Here’s some other main points to the AU

-Lightners are Anomalies. For this purpose not all of them are “human shaped” anymore. Susie is an Anomaly, for example.

-Our heroes don’t close Dark Fountains anymore. I’m unsure what the main goal would be now though…

-The soul is now the Soul of Atlas. The universe rests on Kris’ shoulders.

-Travellers (the species/faction) are actually considered quite normal for the purpose of this AU. Not plentiful enough to be considered a major faction like the Korvax/Gek/Vykeen, but enough that they mix into those populations and aren’t seen as strange anomalies.

-Ralsei owns a freighter called the Castle, and is their home. They’re more than happy to let others onto the Castle. The Castle is this AU’s version of Castle Town.

-This AU’s equivalent of Card Kingdom takes place on a Reliquary Planet in a remote system. The system used to flourish as a frontier outpost, with the Queen’s cruiser even coming to visit occasionally, but when tragedy struck, they isolated and started to fall apart.

-Cyber World’s AU equivalent takes place in a system much closer to the center of galaxy, causing it to be more densely populated. It’s most populated planet is where this AU’s version of Cyber Fields and Cyber City are located. Pandora Palace would be Queen’s personal freighter. Probably just called Pandora or something.

-The space station in Cyber System would be overrun by rebels and shady figures since the Queen doesn’t (usually) care enough about it. This is where you’d meet Sweet Cap’n KK, and Spamton.

-TV World’s is the system closest to the center of the galaxy, and life there revolves entirely around its space station, called the Entertainment Station. This is where Tenna would be.

-The Sanctuaries would be a system with an Atlas Interface, and 3 planets. Each planet represents the 3 different sanctuaries. They should probably be Exotic type planets. Maybe there’d be a moon on one of the Sanctuary planets for the 4rd Sanctuary.

-The Flower Kingdom would probably have dissonance in it, thanks to how self aware the dissonance is. I don’t have a lot of ideas on this one, but I do imagine the flowers would understand what is going on with the NMS universe.

-Jevil, Spamton, and Gerson all know the truth about Atlas and the universe. They all took it to… varying degrees.

-The Anomaly still exists and is basically the exact same. I like the idea that the Anomaly is outside of universes, and thus doesn’t change really due to AUs. Though the Anomaly isn’t likely to be seen in the story much. Mostly just an easter egg.

I think that’s the jist of it? This is all very loose and I didn’t think too hard about it, though I do have some fun ideas-!
