I just want to thank you for being such an amazing human. Even though you’re not super forward with your “feels” and all, you always go out of your way to show your audience that’s it’s okay to be awkward, it’s okay to be different, it’s okay to be special, and that’s so important. Your response to Nicole’s (nasty) video was SO classy and respectful and full of important points. The most important of them being that comedy is amazing and powerful and should be used more respectfully. Thank you for being such an amazing person and for trying to use comedy in the best way possible. Thank you for teaching your audience about self acceptance and for being so funny and amazing. As someone who struggles with body image issues, your response was very important to me and to a lot of people who may have stumbled upon that video. People like Nicole, if their goal is to help people, should approach this topic in a more sensitive way, and the way you did it was an example on how it should be done. I’m just repeating myself here but really just thank you for being someone so amazing and for caring about important issues and for calling out people (in the most respectful way) who need to be taught better and thank you for being such an inspiration to so many people. Like you said “we’re all just trying to get by. Try to be the best version of yourself” and those are some words to get by. So just … Thank you for being you.
