You are invited to our creepy, scary Haunted House. It will be such a fright, dancing and eating and music all day, all night. Dress up if you dare.

Lovely people of Greek Row, we would LOVE to welcome you to Gamma Psi Alpha’s very own first party of the 2016-2017 school year. We wanted to celebrate our victory with the whole Greek Row.  Our party theme is celestial. We filled our house with beautiful stars, colorful balloons and extremely delicious food. All you gotta do it put on your favorite party dress and show up. You can spend the whole night on the dancefloor, stargaze on the blankets in our backyard or if you don't want to get cold outside you can take a nice long breath and enjoy the night in the star room we've installed inside. Have a great night, lose yourselves in champagne’s starry sparkles. Last but not least, don’t forget to pick up your own little gift bag for coming! Don't forget to show your ID; girls will be given necklaces the shape of the constellation of their zodiac sign and guys will be given bracelets made with the gemstones of their zodiac signs. Stay tuned for the upcoming surprises ;)

Shopping Squad — this position requires trips to shopping malls, discussing decorations with the rest of the house, being in contact with the decorating squad all the time, checking what they need for the decorations and buying what’s necessary (2/2 - Rose Sarfati, Lux Sinclair) Decorating Squad — this is a physically demanding position, this squad is in charge of decorating the house. they will put up decorations, carry them around etc. (3/3 Magnolia Sawyer, Charlotte Ridley, Rory Rivera) Social Media — this person (or people) has to be someone who loves social media and someone who’s available to post at least one picture daily and keep people updated during the process (2/2 Alba Lisbon, Keegan Kelley) Logistics — this person is the one who drives the girls to the mall and helps them with carrying stuff, preferably someone who has a car with a huge truck (1/1 Lux Sinclair) Food & Drinks — preferably someone who can cook and bake (2/2 Beatrice Du Pont, Calista Lockhart)

2016 HAUNTED HOUSE TASK

Hello lovely Gammas, as you all know, CRU’S ANNUAL HAUNTED HOUSE contest is in the corner. Midterms are upon us, as well as our joint party with Lambda's, so we know that it's going to be a very busy month for all of us. In order not to overwhelm you all, we made a list of duties. Here's the list of positions for our haunted house:

Shopping Squad — this position requires trips to shopping malls, discussing decorations with the rest of the house, being in contact with the decorating squad all the time, checking what they need for the decorations and buying what's necessary (0/3) Decorating Squad — this is a physically demanding position, this squad is in charge of decorating the house. they will put up decorations, carry them around etc. (0/3) Social Media — this person (or people) has to be someone who loves social media and someone who's available to post at least one picture daily and keep people updated during the process (0/2) Logistics — this person is the one who drives the girls to the mall and helps them with carrying stuff, preferably someone who has a car with a huge truck (0/1) Food & Drinks — preferably someone who can cook and bake (0/3)

OOC INFO & TIPS 

We suggest you pick a position you think your character would show themselves and their strength — for example if your character is physically strong you can make them pick the decoration position.

The person with the most posts for Gamma will be given the MVP award. It’s care a package full of body lotions, shampoos, exfoliators, scrubs etc. Basically her sisters are going to celebrate their sister’s hard work.

This MVP award is not mandatory for every house, however you can use this idea for your houses if you want. 

For positions, first come first serve.

Once you sign up for a position, you are responsible for playing the position on the dash. For example if you sign up for logistic position, your character drive someone to the shopping mall and you guys can play the road trip on the dash. Please don’t forget to tag your threads/texts/paras and tweets with cru:task tag.

My dear beloved sisters,

I am the current Vice President of Gamma Psi Alpha house, Magnolia Sawyer. I was also the Vice President of Gamma House’s Cornell chapter until a few months ago. I suppose I should start by saying that I had the pleasure of meeting my best friends (or as someone on the outside looking in would call them: my sisters) few months ago. I joined a group of women that were fighting an uphill battle -- and winning. They were furthering their involvement on and off campus; they were meeting new people and becoming integral parts of our university with every event they planned and every cause they raised awareness for.

It’s an honor to be a part of Gamma Psi Alpha and hopefully it will be an honor to be the president of it. I am planning to protect Gamma’s legacy, improve their current status and make sure that they stay as the top house. I want every member to be able to voice their opinions, likes, dislikes about the house. I believe Gamma is more than a sorority, it’s a home for us. A place where we can build friendships, make connections, learn new stuff from each other but where we can also have fun.  I know I am new around here but being new is not necessarily a bad thing. I brought new, fresh also effective ideas and decisions with me. I am a good leader but I don’t want to just lead the house, I want to run this house with my sisters. I will make sure that their concerns and decisions will be heard. Our previous president did an excellent job, and now I want to make sure that our sorority — our house stays as the top house. I offer us a safe place. A place where we can explore our full potential without any hesitation. But I also offer us study sessions with the best tutors, brunch with the best breakfast food on every Sunday, weekly bonding sessions, monthly Gamma picnic, best parties, free tickets to local plays and musicals, trivia nights, personalised little gift bags, amazing birthday parties and free tickets to sports games.

I am an experienced officer, I know what to do during crisis, I know how to deal with problems and I am calm under pressure. Unfortunately my dear sister Rory is pretty busy with her passion, boxing. I respect her dedication to her passion of course, because even though she’s my rival, at the end of the day we are sisters and I support her dreams. However, she doesn’t even have time for clubs nor sports. Running a house is a full time job, it’s also pretty demanding – I am experiencing it from first hand. My time will be solemnly invested into being the best of my potential, and always dedicated to the Gamma house.

With all this said, I've prepared a little something for all of you, little gifts which I think symbolize our sisterhood. A personalized scarf for all of you ladies with the initials of your names and last names monogrammed, a little makeup bag - a lady has to be prepared at all times, right? - a fountain pen, an agenda for the upcoming school year, a little purse, paper clips and a bow necklace to symbolize how tight the bonds of our sisterhood are and last but not least, a copy of 'We Should All Be Feminists' by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie to remind all of us that sororities are sisterhoods that are ran by women where men can never have a voice.
