In recent years, the significance of man-made observances (holidays) and objects (monuments, gifts), have been lost in translation. I remembered today is 4th of July - commemorating the Declaration of Independence of the United States. In that document, a beautiful dream was envisioned for all American but hasn't been afforded to all of us. It was that specifically and well crafted sentence which led the civil rights movement. It is that same energy that has mobilized the current protest.
