ਸੂਹੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥ SOOHEE, THIRD MEHL: ਕਾਇਆ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਅਤਿ ਸੁਆਲਿੑਉ ਪਿਰੁ ਵਸੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਨਾਲੇ ॥ The body-bride is very beautiful; she dwells with her Husband Lord. ਪਿਰ ਸਚੇ ਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਹਾਗਣਿ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਸਮੑਾਲੇ ॥ She becomes the happy soul-bride of her True Husband Lord, contemplating the Word of the Guru’s Shabad. ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਸਦਾ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ਹਉਮੈ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਜਾਲੇ ॥੧॥ The Lord’s devotee is forever attuned to the Lord’s Love; her ego is burnt away from within. || 1 || ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ॥ Waaho! Waaho! Blessed, blessed is the Word of the Perfect Guru’s Bani. ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਉਪਜੀ ਸਾਚਿ ਸਮਾਣੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ It wells up and springs forth from the Perfect Guru, and merges into Truth. || 1 || Pause || ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਵਸੈ ਖੰਡ ਮੰਡਲ ਪਾਤਾਲਾ ॥ Everything is within the Lord — the continents, worlds and nether regions. ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਜਗਜੀਵਨ ਦਾਤਾ ਵਸੈ ਸਭਨਾ ਕਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਾ ॥ The Life of the World, the Great Giver, dwells within the body; He is the Cherisher of all. ਕਾਇਆ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਹੇਲੀ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮੑਾਲਾ ॥੨॥ The body-bride is eternally beautiful; the Gurmukh contemplates the Naam. || 2 || ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਵਸੈ ਅਲਖੁ ਨ ਲਖਿਆ ਜਾਈ ॥ The Lord Himself dwells within the body; He is invisible and cannot be seen. ਮਨਮੁਖੁ ਮੁਗਧੁ ਬੂਝੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਭਾਲਣਿ ਜਾਈ ॥ The foolish self-willed manmukh does not understand; he goes out searching for the Lord externally. ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵੇ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਏ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਅਲਖੁ ਦਿਤਾ ਲਖਾਈ ॥੩॥ One who serves the True Guru is always at peace; the True Guru has shown me the Invisible Lord. || 3 || ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਰਤਨ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਭਗਤਿ ਭਰੇ ਭੰਡਾਰਾ ॥ Within the body there are jewels and precious treasures, the over-flowing treasure of devotion. ਇਸੁ ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਨਉਖੰਡ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮੀ ਹਾਟ ਪਟਣ ਬਾਜਾਰਾ ॥ Within this body are the nine continents of the earth, its markets, cities and streets. ਇਸੁ ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਉ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਵੀਚਾਰਾ ॥ ੪॥ Within this body are the nine treasures of the Naam; contemplating the Word of the Guru’s Shabad, it is obtained. || 4 || ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਤੋਲਿ ਤੁਲਾਵੈ ਆਪੇ ਤੋਲਣਹਾਰਾ ॥ Within the body, the Lord estimates the weight; He Himself is the weigher. ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਰਤਨੁ ਜਵਾਹਰ ਮਾਣਕੁ ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਮੋਲੁ ਅਫਾਰਾ ॥ This mind is the jewel, the gem, the diamond; it is absolutely priceless. ਮੋਲਿ ਕਿਤ ਹੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਨਾਹੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਗੁਰ ਬੀਚਾਰਾ ॥੫॥ The Naam, the Name of the Lord, cannot be purchased at any price; the Naam is obtained by contemplating the Guru. || 5 || ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੁ ਕਾਇਆ ਖੋਜੈ ਹੋਰ ਸਭ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲਾਈ ॥ One who becomes Gurmukh searches this body; all others just wander around in confusion. ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਦੇਇ ਸੋਈ ਜਨੁ ਪਾਵੈ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਆ ਕੋ ਕਰੇ ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ॥ That humble being alone obtains it, unto whom the Lord bestows it. ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਭਉ ਭਾਉ ਵਸੈ ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਪਾਈ ॥੬॥ What other clever tricks can anyone try? Within the body, the Fear of God and Love for Him abides; by Guru’s Grace, they are obtained. || 6 || ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਬਿਸਨੁ ਮਹੇਸਾ ਸਭ ਓਪਤਿ ਜਿਤੁ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ ॥ Within the body, are Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, from whom the whole world emanated. ਸਚੈ ਆਪਣਾ ਖੇਲੁ ਰਚਾਇਆ ਆਵਾ ਗਉਣੁ ਪਾਸਾਰਾ ॥ The True Lord has staged and contrived His own play; the expanse of the Universe comes and goes. ਪੂਰੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ਸਚਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਾ ॥੭॥ The Perfect True Guru Himself has made it clear, that emancipation comes through the True Name. || 7 || ਸਾ ਕਾਇਆ ਜੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵੈ ਸਚੈ ਆਪਿ ਸਵਾਰੀ ॥ That body, which serves the True Guru, is embellished by the True Lord Himself. ਵਿਣੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਦਰਿ ਢੋਈ ਨਾਹੀ ਤਾ ਜਮੁ ਕਰੇ ਖੁਆਰੀ ॥ Without the Name, the mortal finds no place of rest in the Court of the Lord; he shall be tortured by the Messenger of Death. ਨਾਨਕ ਸਚੁ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਪਾਏ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਹਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ॥੮॥੨॥ O Nanak, true glory is bestowed, when the Lord showers His Mercy. || 8 || 2 || Hukamnama Darbar Sahib Today 9th December ਸੋਮਵਾਰ, ੨੪ ਮੱਘਰ (ਸੰਮਤ ੫੫੧ ਨਾਨਕਸ਼ਾਹੀ) ਅੰਗ: ੭੫੪

ਰਾਗੁ ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਭਗਤ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ ਕੀ RAAG DHANAASAREE, THE WORD OF DEVOTEE KABEER JEE: ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ONE UNIVERSAL CREATOR GOD. ਸੂਹੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥ SOOHEE, THIRD MEHL: ਸਬਦਿ ਸਚੈ ਸਚੁ ਸੋਹਿਲਾ ਜਿਥੈ ਸਚੇ ਕਾ ਹੋਇ ਵੀਚਾਰੋ ਰਾਮ ॥ Through the True Word of the Shabad, true happiness prevails, there where the True Lord is contemplated ਹਉਮੈ ਸਭਿ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਕਾਟੇ ਸਾਚੁ ਰਖਿਆ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥ Egotism and all sinful residues are eradicated, when one keeps the True Lord enshrined in the heart. ਸਚੁ ਰਖਿਆ ਉਰ ਧਾਰੇ ਦੁਤਰੁ ਤਾਰੇ ਫਿਰਿ ਭਵਜਲੁ ਤਰਣੁ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥ One who keeps the True Lord enshrined in the heart, crosses over the terrible and dreadful world-ocean; ਸਚਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸਚੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਜਿਨਿ ਸਚੁ ਵਿਖਾਲਿਆ ਸੋਈ ॥ he shall not have to cross over it again.True is the True Guru, and True is the Word of His Bani; through it, the True Lord is seen. ਸਾਚੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ਸਚੁ ਵੇਖੈ ਸਭੁ ਸੋਈ ॥ One who sings the Glorious Praises of the True Lord merges in Truth; he beholds the True Lord everywhere. ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਸਾਚੀ ਨਾਈ ਸਚੁ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਾ ਹੋਈ ॥੧॥ O Nanak, True is the Lord and Master, and True is His Name; through Truth, comes emancipation. || 1 || ਸਾਚੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਸਾਚੁ ਬੁਝਾਇਆ ਪਤਿ ਰਾਖੈ ਸਚੁ ਸੋਈ ਰਾਮ ॥ The True Guru reveals the True Lord; the True Lord preserves our honor. ਸਚਾ ਭੋਜਨੁ ਭਾਉ ਸਚਾ ਹੈ ਸਚੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਈ ਰਾਮ ॥ The true food is love for the True Lord; through the True Name, peace is obtained. ਸਾਚੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਈ ਮਰੈ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਗਰਭਿ ਨ ਜੂਨੀ ਵਾਸਾ ॥ Through the True Name, the mortal finds peace; he shall never die, and never again enter the womb of reincarnation. ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਮਿਲਾਈ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਈ ਸਚਿ ਨਾਇ ਪਰਗਾਸਾ ॥ His light blends with the Light, and he merges into the True Lord; he is illuminated and enlightened with the True Name. ਜਿਨੀ ਸਚੁ ਜਾਤਾ ਸੇ ਸਚੇ ਹੋਏ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਸਚੁ ਧਿਆਇਨਿ ॥ Those who know the Truth are True; night and day, they meditate on Truth. ਨਾਨਕ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਿਨ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਵਸਿਆ ਨ ਵੀਛੁੜਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਨਿ ॥੨॥ O Nanak, those whose hearts are filled with the True Name, never suffer the pains of separation. || 2 || ਸਚੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਚੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਤਿਤੁ ਘਰਿ ਸੋਹਿਲਾ ਹੋਈ ਰਾਮ ॥ In that home, and in that heart, where the True Bani of the Lord’s True Praises are sung, the songs of joy resound. ਨਿਰਮਲ ਗੁਣ ਸਾਚੇ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਵਿਚਿ ਸਾਚਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਈ ਰਾਮ ॥ Through the immaculate virtues of the True Lord, the body and mind are rendered True, and God, the True Primal Being, dwells within. ਸਭੁ ਸਚੁ ਵਰਤੈ ਸਚੋ ਬੋਲੈ ਜੋ ਸਚੁ ਕਰੈ ਸੋ ਹੋਈ ॥ Such a person practices only Truth, and speaks only Truth; whatever the True Lord does, that alone comes to pass. ਜਹ ਦੇਖਾ ਤਹ ਸਚੁ ਪਸਰਿਆ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਦੂਜਾ ਕੋਈ ॥ Wherever I look, there I see the True Lord pervading; there is no other at all. ਸਚੇ ਉਪਜੈ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ਮਰਿ ਜਨਮੈ ਦੂਜਾ ਹੋਈ ॥ From the True Lord, we emanate, and into the True Lord, we shall merge; death and birth come from duality. ਨਾਨਕ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਆਪੇ ਕਰਤਾ ਆਪਿ ਕਰਾਵੈ ਸੋਈ ॥੩॥ O Nanak, He Himself does everything; He Himself is the Cause. || 3 || ਸਚੇ ਭਗਤ ਸੋਹਹਿ ਦਰਵਾਰੇ ਸਚੋ ਸਚੁ ਵਖਾਣੇ ਰਾਮ ॥ The true devotees look beautiful in the Darbaar of the Lord’s Court. ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰੇ ਸਾਚੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਾਚੋ ਆਪਿ ਪਛਾਣੇ ਰਾਮ ॥ They speak Truth, and only Truth. ਆਪੁ ਪਛਾਣਹਿ ਤਾ ਸਚੁ ਜਾਣਹਿ ਸਾਚੇ ਸੋਝੀ ਹੋਈ ॥ Deep within the nucleus of their heart, is the True Word of the Lord’s Bani. ਸਚਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਸਚੀ ਹੈ ਸੋਭਾ ਸਾਚੇ ਹੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਈ ॥ Through the Truth, they understand themselves. They understand themselves, and so know the True Lord, through their true intuition. ਸਾਚਿ ਰਤੇ ਭਗਤ ਇਕ ਰੰਗੀ ਦੂਜਾ ਰੰਗੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥ True is the Shabad, and True is its Glory; peace comes only from Truth. ਸੂਹੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ SOOHEE, FIFTH MEHL: ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਬਚਨਿ ਰਿਦੈ ਧਿਆਨੁ ਧਾਰੀ ॥ Within my heart, I meditate on the Word of the Guru’s Teachings. ਰਸਨਾ ਜਾਪੁ ਜਪਉ ਬਨਵਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ With my tongue, I chant the Chant of the Lord. || 1 || ਸਫਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਦਰਸਨ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ॥ The image of His vision is fruitful; I am a sacrifice to it. ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਮਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਅਧਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ His Lotus Feet are the Support of the mind, the Support of the very breath of life. || 1 || Pause || ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਨਿਵਾਰੀ ॥ In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, the cycle of birth and death is ended. ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਕਥਾ ਸੁਣਿ ਕਰਨ ਅਧਾਰੀ ॥੨॥ To hear the Ambrosial Sermon is the support of my ears. || 2 || ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਲੋਭ ਮੋਹ ਤਜਾਰੀ ॥ I have renounced sexual desire, anger, greed and emotional attachment. ਦ੍ਰਿੜੁ ਨਾਮ ਦਾਨੁ ਇਸਨਾਨੁ ਸੁਚਾਰੀ ॥੩॥ I have enshrined the Naam within myself, with charity, true cleansing and righteous conduct. || 3 || ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਇਹੁ ਤਤੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੀ ॥ Says Nanak, I have contemplated this essence of reality; ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਉਤਾਰੀ ॥੪॥੧੨॥੧੮॥ chanting the Name of the Lord, I am carried across. || 4 || 12 || 18 || Hukamnama Darbar Sahib Today 6th December ਸ਼ੁੱਕਰਵਾਰ, ੨੧ ਮੱਘਰ (ਸੰਮਤ ੫੫੧ ਨਾਨਕਸ਼ਾਹੀ) ਅੰਗ : ੭੪੦

ਸਲੋਕ ॥ SHALOK: ਰਾਜ ਕਪਟੰ ਰੂਪ ਕਪਟੰ ਧਨ ਕਪਟੰ ਕੁਲ ਗਰਬਤਹ ॥ Power is fraudulent, beauty is fraudulent, and wealth is fraudulent, as is pride of ancestry. ਸੰਚੰਤਿ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਛਲੰ ਛਿਦ੍ਰੰ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਚਾਲਤੇ ॥੧॥ One may gather poison through deception and fraud, O Nanak, but without the Lord, nothing shall go along with him in the end. || 1 || ਪੇਖੰਦੜੋ ਕੀ ਭੁਲੁ ਤੁੰਮਾ ਦਿਸਮੁ ਸੋਹਣਾ ॥ Beholding the bitter melon, he is deceived, since it appears so pretty. ਅਢੁ ਨ ਲਹੰਦੜੋ ਮੁਲੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਥਿ ਨ ਜੁਲਈ ਮਾਇਆ ॥੨॥ But it is not worth even a shell, O Nanak; the riches of Maya will not go along with anyone. || 2 || ਪਉੜੀ ॥ ਚਲਦਿਆ ਨਾਲਿ ਨ ਚਲੈ ਸੋ ਕਿਉ ਸੰਜੀਐ ॥ PAUREE: It shall not go along with you when you depart — why do you bother to collect it? ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਕਹੁ ਕਿਆ ਜਤਨੁ ਜਿਸ ਤੇ ਵੰਜੀਐ ॥ Tell me, why do you try so hard to acquire that which you must leave behind in the end? ਹਰਿ ਬਿਸਰਿਐ ਕਿਉ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਵੈ ਨਾ ਮਨੁ ਰੰਜੀਐ ॥ Forgetting the Lord, how can you be satisfied? ਸਲੋਕ ॥ SHALOK: ਰਚੰਤਿ ਜੀਅ ਰਚਨਾ ਮਾਤ ਗਰਭ ਅਸਥਾਪਨੰ ॥ Creating the soul, the Lord places this creation in the womb of the mother. ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਿਮਰੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਹਾ ਅਗਨਿ ਨ ਬਿਨਾਸਨੰ ॥੧॥ With each and every breath, it meditates in remembrance on the Lord, O Nanak; it is not consumed by the great fire. || 1 || ਮੁਖੁ ਤਲੈ ਪੈਰ ਉਪਰੇ ਵਸੰਦੋ ਕੁਹਥੜੈ ਥਾਇ ॥ With its head down, and feet up, it dwells in that slimy place. ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਧਣੀ ਕਿਉ ਵਿਸਾਰਿਓ ਉਧਰਹਿ ਜਿਸ ਦੈ ਨਾਇ ॥੨॥ O Nanak, how could we forget the Master? ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ਘਰੁ ੨ ਅਸਟਪਦੀਆ SORAT’H, FIFTH MEHL, SECOND HOUSE, ASHTAPADEES: ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ONE UNIVERSAL CREATOR GOD. BY THE GRACE OF THE TRUE GURU: ਪਾਠੁ ਪੜਿਓ ਅਰੁ ਬੇਦੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਿਓ ਨਿਵਲਿ ਭੁਅੰਗਮ ਸਾਧੇ ॥ They read scriptures, and contemplate the Vedas; they practice the inner cleansing techniques of Yoga, and control of the breath. ਪੰਚ ਜਨਾ ਸਿਉ ਸੰਗੁ ਨ ਛੁਟਕਿਓ ਅਧਿਕ ਅਹੰਬੁਧਿ ਬਾਧੇ ॥੧॥ But they cannot escape from the company of the five passions; they are increasingly bound to egotism. || 1 || ਪਿਆਰੇ ਇਨ ਬਿਧਿ ਮਿਲਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਮੈ ਕੀਏ ਕਰਮ ਅਨੇਕਾ ॥ O Beloved, this is not the way to meet the Lord; I have performed these rituals so many times. ਹਾਰਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕੈ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਦੀਜੈ ਬੁਧਿ ਬਿਬੇਕਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ I have collapsed, exhausted, at the Door of my Lord Master; I pray that He may grant me a discerning intellect. || Pause || ਮੋਨਿ ਭਇਓ ਕਰਪਾਤੀ ਰਹਿਓ ਨਗਨ ਫਿਰਿਓ ਬਨ ਮਾਹੀ ॥ One may remain silent and use his hands as begging bowls, and wander naked in the forest. ਤਟ ਤੀਰਥ ਸਭ ਧਰਤੀ ਭ੍ਰਮਿਓ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਛੁਟਕੈ ਨਾਹੀ ॥੨॥ He may make pilgrimages to river banks and sacred shrines all over the world, but his sense of duality will not leave him. || 2 || ਮਨ ਕਾਮਨਾ ਤੀਰਥ ਜਾਇ ਬਸਿਓ ਸਿਰਿ ਕਰਵਤ ਧਰਾਏ ॥ His mind’s desires may lead him to go and dwell at sacred places of pilgrimage, and offer his head to be sawn off; ਮਨ ਕੀ ਮੈਲੁ ਨ ਉਤਰੈ ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਜੇ ਲਖ ਜਤਨ ਕਰਾਏ ॥੩॥ but this will not cause the filth of his mind to depart, even though he may make thousands of efforts. || 3 || ਕਨਿਕ ਕਾਮਿਨੀ ਹੈਵਰ ਗੈਵਰ ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਦਾਨੁ ਦਾਤਾਰਾ ॥ He may give gifts of all sorts — gold, women, horses and elephants. ਅੰਨ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਭੂਮਿ ਬਹੁ ਅਰਪੇ ਨਹ ਮਿਲੀਐ ਹਰਿ ਦੁਆਰਾ ॥੪॥ He may make offerings of corn, clothes and land in abundance, but this will not lead him to the Lord’s Door. || 4 || ਪੂਜਾ ਅਰਚਾ ਬੰਦਨ ਡੰਡਉਤ ਖਟੁ ਕਰਮਾ ਰਤੁ ਰਹਤਾ ॥ He may remain devoted to worship and adoration, bowing his forehead to the floor, practicing the six religious rituals. ਹਉ ਹਉ ਕਰਤ ਬੰਧਨ ਮਹਿ ਪਰਿਆ ਨਹ ਮਿਲੀਐ ਇਹ ਜੁਗਤਾ ॥੫॥ He indulges in egotism and pride, and falls into entanglements, but he does not meet the Lord by these devices. || 5 || ਜੋਗ ਸਿਧ ਆਸਣ ਚਉਰਾਸੀਹ ਏ ਭੀ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਰਹਿਆ ॥ He practices the eighty-four postures of Yoga, and acquires the supernatural powers of the Siddhas, but he gets tired of practicing these. ਵਡੀ ਆਰਜਾ ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਜਨਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਸੰਗੁ ਨ ਗਹਿਆ ॥੬॥ He lives a long life, but is reincarnated again and again; he has not met with the Lord. || 6 || ਰਾਜ ਲੀਲਾ ਰਾਜਨ ਕੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਕਰਿਆ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਅਫਾਰਾ ॥ He may enjoy princely pleasures, and regal pomp and ceremony, and issue unchallenged commands. ਸੇਜ ਸੋਹਨੀ ਚੰਦਨੁ ਚੋਆ ਨਰਕ ਘੋਰ ਕਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ॥੭॥ He may lie on beautiful beds, perfumed with sandalwood oil, but this will led him only to the gates of the most horrible hell. || 7 || ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਹੈ ਸਿਰਿ ਕਰਮਨ ਕੈ ਕਰਮਾ ॥ Singing the Kirtan of the Lord’s Praises in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, is the highest of all actions. ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਇਓ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਪੁਰਬ ਲਿਖੇ ਕਾ ਲਹਨਾ ॥੮॥ Says Nanak, he alone obtains it, who is pre-destined to receive it. || 8 || ਤੇਰੋ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਇਹ ਰੰਗਿ ਮਾਤਾ ॥ Your slave is intoxicated with this Love of Yours. ਭਇਓ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਦੀਨ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨਿ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਤਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ਦੂਜਾ ॥੧॥੩॥ The Destroyer of the pains of the poor has become merciful to me, and this mind is imbued with the Praises of the Lord, Har, Har. || Second Pau Hukamnama Darbar Sahib Today 2nd December ਸੋਮਵਾਰ, ੧੭ ਮੱਘਰ (ਸੰਮਤ ੫੫੧ ਨਾਨਕਸ਼ਾਹੀ) (ਅੰਗ: ੬੪੧)

ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ ੯ ॥ SORAT’H, NINTH MEHL: ਇਹ ਜਗਿ ਮੀਤੁ ਨ ਦੇਖਿਓ ਕੋਈ ॥ In this world, I have not found any true friend. ਸਗਲ ਜਗਤੁ ਅਪਨੈ ਸੁਖਿ ਲਾਗਿਓ ਦੁਖ ਮੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ The whole world is attached to its own pleasures, and when trouble comes, no one is with you. || 1 || Pause || ਦਾਰਾ ਮੀਤ ਪੂਤ ਸਨਬੰਧੀ ਸਗਰੇ ਧਨ ਸਿਉ ਲਾਗੇ ॥ Wives, friends, children and relatives — all are attached to wealth. ਜਬ ਹੀ ਨਿਰਧਨ ਦੇਖਿਓ ਨਰ ਕਉ ਸੰਗੁ ਛਾਡਿ ਸਭ ਭਾਗੇ ॥੧॥ When they see a poor man, they all forsake his company and run away. || 1 || ਕਹਉ ਕਹਾ ਯਿਆ ਮਨ ਬਉਰੇ ਕਉ ਇਨ ਸਿਉ ਨੇਹੁ ਲਗਾਇਓ ॥ So what should I say to this crazy mind, which is affectionately attached to them? ਦੀਨਾ ਨਾਥ ਸਗਲ ਭੈ ਭੰਜਨ ਜਸੁ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਬਿਸਰਾਇਓ ॥੨॥ The Lord is the Master of the meek, the Destroyer of all fears, and I have forgotten to praise Him. || 2 || ਸੁਆਨ ਪੂਛ ਜਿਉ ਭਇਓ ਨ ਸੂਧਉ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਜਤਨੁ ਮੈ ਕੀਨਉ ॥ Like a dog’s tail, which will never straighten out, the mind will not change, no matter how many things are tried. ਨਾਨਕ ਲਾਜ ਬਿਰਦ ਕੀ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਤੁਹਾਰਉ ਲੀਨਉ ॥੩॥੯॥ Says Nanak, please, Lord, uphold the honor of Your innate nature; I chant Your Name. || 3 || 9 ||

ਸਲੋਕੁ ਮ: ੩ ॥ SHALOK, THIRD MEHL: ਰੇ ਜਨ ਉਥਾਰੈ ਦਬਿਓਹੁ ਸੁਤਿਆ ਗਈ ਵਿਹਾਇ ॥ O man, you have been tormented by a nightmare, and you have passed your life in sleep. ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਸੁਣਿ ਨ ਜਾਗਿਓ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਨ ਉਪਜਿਓ ਚਾਉ ॥ You did not wake to hear the Word of the True Gurus Shabad; you have no inspiration within yourself. ਸਰੀਰੁ ਜਲਉ ਗੁਣ ਬਾਹਰਾ ਜੋ ਗੁਰ ਕਾਰ ਨ ਕਮਾਇ ॥ That body burns, which has no virtue, and which does not serve the Guru. ਜਗਤੁ ਜਲľਦਾ ਡਿਠੁ ਮੈ ਹਉਮੈ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ॥ I have seen that the world is burning, in egotism and the love of duality. ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਸਰਣਾਈ ਉਬਰੇ ਸਚੁ ਮਨਿ ਸਬਦਿ ਧਿਆਇ ॥੧॥ O Nanak, those who seek the Gurus Sanctuary are saved; within their minds, they meditate on the True Word of the Shabad. || 1 || ਮ: ੩ ॥ ਸਬਦਿ ਰਤੇ ਹਉਮੈ ਗਈ ਸੋਭਾਵੰਤੀ ਨਾਰਿ ॥ THIRD MEHL: Attuned to the Word of the Shabad, the soul-bride is rid of egotism, and she is glorified. ਪਿਰ ਕੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਸਦਾ ਚਲੈ ਤਾ ਬਨਿਆ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ॥ If she walks steadily in the way of His Will, then she is adorned with decorations. ਸੇਜ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਸਦਾ ਪਿਰੁ ਰਾਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਵਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਾਰਿ ॥ Her couch becomes beautiful, and she constantly enjoys her Husband Lord; she obtains the Lord as her Husband. ਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਮਰੈ ਨ ਕਦੇ ਦੁਖੁ ਲਾਗੈ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਹਾਗਣਿ ਨਾਰਿ ॥ The Lord does not die, and she never suffers pain; she is a happy soul-bride forever. ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਲਿ ਲਈ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਹੇਤਿ ਪਿਆਰਿ ॥੨॥ O Nanak, the Lord God unites her with Himself; she enshrines love and affection for the Guru. || 2 || ਪਉੜੀ ॥ ਜਿਨਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਗੋਪਿਆ ਆਪਣਾ ਤੇ ਨਰ ਬੁਰਿਆਰੀ ॥ PAUREE: Those who conceal and deny their Guru, are the most evil people. ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਨਾ ਕਰਹੁ ਪਾਪਿਸਟ ਹਤਿਆਰੀ ॥ O Dear Lord, let me not even see them; they are the worst sinners and murderers. ਓਹਿ ਘਰਿ ਘਰਿ ਫਿਰਹਿ ਕੁਸੁਧ ਮਨਿ ਜਿਉ ਧਰਕਟ ਨਾਰੀ ॥ They wander from house to house, with impure minds, like wicked, forsaken women. ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਵਾਰੀ ॥ But by great good fortune, they may meet the Company of the Holy; as Gurmukhs, they are reformed. ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਹੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਕਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ॥੨੩॥ O Lord, please be kind and let me meet the True Guru; I am a sacrifice to the Guru. || 23 || History Of Guru Amar Das Ji Hukamnama Darbar Sahib Today 3rd November ਐਤਵਾਰ, ੧੮ ਕੱਤਕ (ਸੰਮਤ ੫੫੧ ਨਾਨਕਸ਼ਾਹੀ) (ਅੰਗ : ੬੫੧)
