today happened. am very tired so keeping this short.

pharmacist didn't believe me about my prescription until the computer spat out my information at her. (she was very nice and probably just following procedure)

HALLOWEEN STUFF IS COMING OUT IM SO HAPPY YAY

accidentally broke some glass today. was all good.

today was another mostly lazy day.

slept way the fuck in, made some treats, did laundry. did just about nothing else.

i am very curious to see how tomorrow goes.

it'll definitely be interesting.

so my manager got fired-

(we weren't told that explicitly because reasons but context clues exist and all signs point towards the flame so yeah)

AND WE SORTA JUST ACTED LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED?! WHAT?!?!?!?

and then current guy in charge was like "yeah me and [other manager] will be pulling doubles for a while" and I'm like 'we just can't stop making poor management decisions now can we' (but not out loud ofc I'm not dumb)

anyways bought a really cute mini Bundt cake maker will make some treats tomorrow

oh and as always- fuck corporate, and fuck CEOs.

(but good news if I ever decide to leave I have been offered a job multiple times at a grocery store by the store manager there. so there's that)

today was genuinely the perfect day.

slept in, was lazy, ate good food, bought some stuff.

a perfect day off. 10/10 no notes

i thought I had gotten used to people being two faced; I guess I was wrong.

I'm not the one affected this time, but still, it's someone I care about. They couldn't be themselves for MOST OF THE DAY, until it was just us closing, and we could finally just talk in peace. I don't know what's going on, but we're in a professional fucking setting people. You guys are MANAGERS, running a goddamn store with people who rely on you to keep your shit together. This person is like an older sibling to me. Get your fucking act together.

I think i'm just mad at people right now. Mad at corporate for making shitty decisions, mad at my roommate for being ungrateful and inconsiderate, mad at customers (sometimes).

And then I see a tiny bit of hope? And I want to cry. Because I feel like I missed it. I know I have depression, and I know I do good work, but... should that really be all it takes for some minor stuff to affect me that badly?

today was...interesting, to say the least.

started off the day with the news I did not get the new position (I'm too valuable where I am. fuck), and then got the news that the CEO is fucking everything up in the store because it's "how he wants it." (via higher ups.) I have a few choice words for him.

then I got to wear an inflatable chicken costume, my manager both called AND texted me while I was in the restroom fighting for my life (he needed my work ID and password because my terminal logged out as soon as I went in the restroom.)

and I had to clean shit stains out of the bathroom that somehow got worse the more I cleaned up.

i need a vacation. and a braincell. possibly a shot or a cigarette, idk man. I need a break. too much bullshit.

currently munching on some delicious green grapes. I like grapes.

pretty chill and low-key day. didn't do a whole lot, but I made dinner for a relative who was in town and they really enjoyed it, which made me really happy.

i officially get the news about the new job position tomorrow. weirdly nervous about it.

Work was shit again today. Just exhausting.

Corporate decided it would be a great idea to remodel the store DURING OPERATING HOURS. Like gee I wonder what that’s gonna do to sales.

I had a conversation today I SO did not want to have, but my manager made me. He sometimes acts a little TOO much like an older brother.

You know food is good when the spice hurts your soul but you can’t stop eating cuz it’s so good. Hell yea

I had the great privilege of taking out a trash bag with a dirty diaper in it. Yippee.

After I got off work, immediately went to a family dinner. Social battery? Dead. Energy? Gone. Damn near went to sleep at 10, which I rarely do.

Today was a good day.

Slept in, lazed around, did some shopping, did some shit.

Does anyone else not really like running into customers on your days off? Because they’re used to me being in polite customer service mode, but off the clock? Keep to myself, and I swear. A lot. So I just don’t know how to act. (Just smile and wave, smile and wave)

So my manager may or may not get fired for making a racist joke. We don’t know.

Today was pretty uninteresting.

Do you ever wonder about what it’s like to not know you exist? Sorta like when you’re asleep? A state of unconsciousness? A saw a video of jellyfish and it got me thinking….is dying sorta similar to when you’re asleep, but not dreaming? Idk man

People are such assholes sometimes.

Like genuinely I’m trying to clean up the store once we closed today, and holy shit the amount of fucking things people just…left everywhere??? Like goddamn I know some of that is kids but holy fuck I KNOW children are not 6 fucking feet tall and CANNOT reach some of those top shelves.

Love it when my cats go ballistic at 11 at night just randomly.

Also like FUCK older people for some of the shit they say. An older woman told another customer’s daughter she was gonna “be a wh*re” and “she was the reason men would m*lest girls like her”, all because of how she was dressed. Slightly alt with ripped jeans btw.

Talked to managers about new positions n shit today. They asked if I had a preference where I ended up. I said I didn’t care.

“But what’s your preference?”

“Idc.”

“But what’s your preference?”

Bruh. I told him put me wherever is best. I did not give a damn.

I forget teenagers have the personality of teenagers. I work with older people so much I forget not everyone has seen the horrors of life and the world and I love that for them.

SOMEONE THREW AWAY MY STARBUCKS BEFORE I FINISHED IT. I’m mostly only mad because my coworker bought one for everyone cuz it was a rough day and everyone needed the caffeine BUT IT STILL WAS LIKE THIRD FULL. I KNOW I TAKE 3 BUSINESS DAY TO CONSUME STUFF BUT STILL. Ya don’t just throw away peoples stuff like that
