Dipper and Mabel's parents got a major job offer recently in a different country that will last for a couple of years. Dipper and Mabel begged their parents to send them back to Gravity Falls so they could live there while their parents were away. However, Gruncle Stan is currently renovating the Mystery Shack. So instead the Pines twins chose to live with their Mom's sister, Sharon, and her family in South Park, Colorado. Here they meet some new family members: their uncle-in-law, Randy, and their two cousins, Stan and Shelly Marsh. Dipper and Stan quickly realize that they both have secrets to hide, and both are determined to find out what those secrets are. (Keep in mind the year is 2010 because Dipper was born in 1999 and Stan was born in 2001, so Dipper would be 12 years old and Stan would be 10 years old in the year 2010, realistically.)

Stan: Hey Dudes, my cousin, Dorito, is staying at my house until the Summer because his parents got some job offer in a different country for a couple of years and they didn't want to go and blah blah blah...I didn't really listen to what he said. Anyway, I took over his Guide to the Unexplained Blog because, well, cause I'm bored. Might as well make the most of his stay.

Dipper: DIPPER! My name is Dipper! Not Dorito! Ugh, he is never going to get that right. Anyway, Stan says that his town of South Park is filled with mysterious and weird occurrences. But after being in Gravity Falls for the summer, its probably nothing I can't handle. As I always say, there is no mystery that is unsolvable!

Stan: You never say that. You literally just came up with that now.

Dipper: Anyway, everyone welcome to our blog where we will be...I guess exposing our entire lives to you. Through our videos and posts we'll be taking you along on all our adventures, both big and small.

Stan: That's what she said.

Dipper:(sigh) Not to mention also answering any questions you guys have about...well...anything really.
