It's A Big Wide Camp

“Its a forest Peter it will be dark…hey do…do you smell that?”

“It’s coming from that house…peter let’s ….lets go check out the house.” The counselor bolts for the door stopping and trying to put his snout inside. His tail wagged about wildly.

W-what?? No,,, M-Mr. Kevin, I don’t wanna go in there;;;   Usually when you smell something rotting in a cabin in the woods you turn around!  -he tugs on his counselor’s back leg, trying to get him to follow him back- 

Kevin paid Peter no mind,continuing to try and get inside. Not thinking of changing back and trying.

-Peter tried pushing Kevin back with more urgency, straining with the effort as his counselor refused to budge-  Come…. on…;; !!!  -he pleaded as a feeling of dread slowly crept over him-

-Peter became aware of the chirping and the glowing coming from the side of the house, a chill running up his spine as he thought of the prospects of what it could be. He still stuck close to Mr. Kevin, too afraid to wander on his own around the disheveled property-

Kevin growled now sitting up and huffing. He seemed to stare at the house before now reaching into the house with a clawed hand. The shining on the side of the house vanished with a “poof.” A few seconds later Kevin recoiled his claw with a loud yelp,  “something bit me!”

Kevin growled loudly,holding the wounded claw close. “Oh no I’m not backing down,that thing bit me-” his ears flicked a bit. “Hey..peter do you…hear that noise? Something else is growling at us..”

We should leave before you get bit again! You could get sick!  W…what is it..? -he peeks into the doorway cautiously, squinting into the dark and trying to investigate. in a moment of automatic movement, he steps up into the house, not yet a foot from the outside, without thinking- 

-Peter stumbles backwards at his counselor’s warning, the face coming into view.- W-Who? Who is it????  -he yelped, hiding behind Kevin-

Halloween in the summer, summer-ween! It’s a camp event. I was wondering if you were gonna wear a costume for it?

“I…no..probably not…didnt even know about it…” he sighed. “Not al that exciting I know”

well… then i was wondering… C-Could we do something for summerween? Me an You? Cause… Well…. I don’t want to be around all those people… I imagine it’ll be pretty busy round here..

“I don’t see why not. What do you wanna do kiddo?”

R-Really?? oh, Well,, the way I figure there’s only gonna be two places that aren’t swarming with campers. We could hole up in the cabin or… we could go on a spooky night walk…?

“….spooky night wal-…alright yeah let’s go,hop on kid.” He lays down so the camper can climb on.

Wh- Now..? Oh, I.. -he smiles- didn’t realize you’d be so gung-ho about it, heheh. -he swings his leg over and holds on tight-

“Psh well you seemed desprate to get away,especially if you’d rather hang out with the big scary camp counselor.” He chuckled slowly walking off. “Anything in mind? Pick a direction I guess.”
