#Makerfaire was incredible!! So many cool projects and ridiculously well organized. I'm incredibly proud to be part of the maker community and movement. It's been such a blast!

Even though there were a few bumps and bruises in the morning (my turtle plushie broke, and I didn't have an extension cord long enough to plug in both corgis and the octopus), today was fantastic! It was so great seeing the smiles on kids faces when they played with my stuffed animals! #Makerfaire

Learning/epic fail moment #523. Do your research before you buy things. And even if you did your research, try to think 15 steps ahead and do even more research. I ended up using an Arduino nano, which isn't compatible with the Keyboard.h library. Which means that it just doesn't really work as a keyboard, period. Considering I found out about this last night, the only option to get a working octopus in time is to use a Makey Makey. Easy, but not nearly as exciting as using flex sensors (aka the crazy wire protoboard sensor monster I made) Alas! There's no use in despair when there's work to be done. 💪 #epicfail #arduino #octopus #plushie

....I have created an abomination. Figuring out how to accommodate for 8 keys meant that I ran out of space on my biggest protoboard. Which led to this. The nasty part of this is that I wasn't really able to test any of the circuits until they were full soldered. Fingers crossed. 🤞 #circuits #arduino
