So this build is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom house; for your Sims just starting out. The house also a driveway for your Sims’ car. It’s simple, affordable, and full of charm—just what a small household needs to begin their story. The house is §19,840 and is lightly furnished.

Sophie grew up in a safe and secure household with a loving mother, a protective father, and big dreams. From a young age, she was cherished and never left wanting—her parents made sure she had everything she needed and more. But as Sophie grew older, that unconditional support turned into expectations. Her mother envisioned her as a teacher, her father insisted on law school, and neither path sparked her interest. Sophie’s heart was elsewhere—she dreamed of running her own business and making a name for herself as one of the most successful entrepreneurs in town. When she shared this dream with her parents, she was met with doubt instead of encouragement. Determined not to let their disapproval define her future, Sophie stopped showing up to school and took on a part-time job to save money. On her 18th birthday, she left home with little more than her savings, a few clothes, and an unshakable determination to build her dream from the ground up.

So this build is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house is perfect for a newly wed couple or a budding family looking for their forever home. The house also features a conservatory which can be converted into a bedroom if need-be. I was inspired by this floorplan and also threw my own twist on it. The house is §73,378 and is fully furnished.

It's taken me a lil while to get this up and I do apologise. For some reason 2024 isn't giving me a break at the moment. My living situation is up in the air (again) so that's my priority right now, just hoping it'll all be ok. So that's why posts, etc. are a bit slower because I'm playing more for escapism than to be creative at the moment, however I do have 4 houses on the back burner, just need to upload them and write the posts!

Growing up, Olivia taught herself to play the piano. Eventually she began writing and singing songs, but those days are now dead and gone. Overnight, Olivia went from laying in bed dreaming about a perfect future to teaching herself how to survive on the streets and hustle. With the confidence and intelligence that she has, she picked up several skills pretty quickly. She learned how to approach people and ask for money, how to bargain at local food-stands and how to defend herself from attackers in the dead of night.

Each week Olivia would end up in a new town, hoping to find something or somebody who could help her, somebody who could come and rescue her from her troubles. As much as she would liked to have keep thinking about this possibility, Olivia realised that this is not a fairy-tale. She is not the princess and there is certainly no hero coming to rescue her. She realised that she has to be her own hero and gain control of this situation.

On her way through one of the many towns, Olivia found an abandoned plot of land. Deciding that this could be a place she could begin her new life and try to enjoy her new-found freedom, albeit unplanned and extremely difficult. Once Olivia has more money behind her, she would like to focus back on her musical talents and begin making her way up in the music world!

Credits go to Snooty and their original challenge rules from 2012 as this is what my rules are based around. I am not sure whether anybody else has rewritten the challenge with their own rules. I just wanted to make it more challenging for me. This is also my first time ever writing challenge rules so bare with me if they are...sub-par.

Rules

* - See alterations to this rule in optional rules below

Create an Adult Sim and place them in any neighbourhood you’d like!

This Sim is not allowed to have attended university or cheated a degree with Bat-Box or other mods, hacks or cheats.

Feel free to customise your Sim to your liking! The only limitation is that they MUST be a Fortune Sim.

Once you’ve created your Sim, move them into any sized empty lot you’d like and do not build anything.

Open Random.org and generate a random number from 1-500. The result will be the amount of money your Sim starts with.

Change your Sim’s money to the random number generated using the FamilyFunds cheat.

Once you have done the initial FamilyFunds adjustment, you may not use any other cheats throughout the challenge*.

You are only allowed to choose your Sim’s Lifetime Want when you first move in, after you’ve selected their Lifetime Want, you are not allowed to change it*.

You are not allowed to keep Mr. Humble’s computer if you have FreeTime installed.

You are free to get a job using the newspaper*.

Once the money starts coming in, feel free to begin building, furnishing and upgrading.

You are NOT permitted to move lots until you have completed the challenge*.

Use of Aspiration Rewards are permitted however they MUST be earned fairly*.

You are not allowed to move anybody in or get married until you have reached Level 10 of your career*.

At the beginning of the Challenge you can visit 4 community lots. A coffee shop/café, a public pool, a park and a clothing store.

Once you have reached level 5 of your career, you are allowed to buy your first car and you are now allowed to visit any other community lot in the neighbourhood*.

Once you have purchased your car, you are allowed to visit downtown AFTER you have had a car alarm installed.

Dating is permitted however no marriage or moving Sims in or out until you have reached Level 10 of your career*.

Digging for treasure, freestyling for tips, bartending, painting, DJ-ing, writing novels and being a barista to earn money is permitted. The use of BBQs on community lots are allowed, and purchasing or ‘stealing’ food from restaurants is allowed.

You are NOT allowed to own a home business until you have reached Level 10 of your career*.

Once you have reached Level 10 of your career, congratulations! You have completed the challenge! You can start a business, travel freely, get married, and move in or out as you wish*!

Optional Rules:

If you want to make this challenge slightly harder, here are some optional rules you can implement!

When building, there is an additional fee of 300 per wall (not individual wall tile). You are permitted to use FamilyFunds to deduct this from your sim. If you have Monique’s computer then feel free to use the ‘donate to charity’ function instead. (overrides rule 7 and 11)

Your Sim’s Lifetime Want must be career orientated. (Overrides rule 8)

When searching for a job, you are allowed to take any jobs available, however only the job related to your Sim’s Lifetime Want will count towards Career-Level related unlocks. E.g. If you sim works in the Law career and reaches Level 5 but their Lifetime Want is to reach the top of the Medicine career, you are NOT allowed to buy a car or visit any lots other than the 4 originally stated. (Overrides rules 8, 10, 14, 16, 18, 20 and 21. MUST be used in conjunction with optional rule 2)

You cannot use any Aspiration Rewards or Benefits that increase the rate of skill gain. E.g. Making your Sim have the Knowledge Aspiration as their Secondary Aspiration and unlocking ‘Eureka!’. (Overrides rule 13)

You are permitted to become pregnant with any romantic interests your Sim may have, however if you have Monique’s Child Support mod, then you must deduct any money given to you by the other parent. You can use FamilyFunds or the ‘donate to charity’ function’ from Monique’s Computer. Once your child is born, then you can turn the child support off in the pie menu. (Somewhat overrides rule 18).

I hope that anybody who does the challenge through my rules enjoys! Once again, credit to Snooty for their rules made in 2012. This is not me saying their rules are bad, I just wanted to make my life and my sim's life harder, because I'm just like that!

So, usually I rely on CC, however I am currently in the process of creating a custom hood and I am going all out, ancestor sims, storylines and the whole shebang. This also means I need to create a lot of lots and a lot of sims. I thought I would share this lot as a little sort of "I'm back" post and I also filmed a speed build for this. It's a very basic build so it only took me 25 minutes I think? You can watch the speed build here

Welcome back to my Simblr and today I have a furnished starter house for you! It's got minimal furnishing, which is expected for an 18.5K house.

It has 1 bedroom that has a crib and changing station so the house could be amazing for a single parent! There's space for the house to be made bigger if you feel the need! I don't think there's much else to say really so onto the screenshots!

Hello simmers!

I'm giving you a furnished house today valued at 68K. (Wow, that rhymed, I should really be the next Shakespeare) Anyways, so this house is called 'Peachy Living'. "Why?" you may ask. Well the wooden siding looked kinda like a peachy colour and I felt peachy living could fit it and that's that.

So this house features 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom, 1 Ensuite and an office/study (Which could be converted into an extra room if needed). Unfortunately, there is no back garden so if you love back gardens then you're out of luck. But if you don't you're in luck! There's also no preview picture of the back of the house since it is literally just a wall with windows.

(One thing I noticed is that when I took the preview pictures, the car had changed back to its default colour and the corner kitchen counter had unlinked itself? I'm not sure what that's about but the lot is fine.) Now onto the preview pictures!
