oh, one hundred percent. you had the entire country belting out wonderwall at 4am. that's got to count for something. it was pretty satisfying watching you beat france, so i can't imagine how it must have felt for you guys. i'd be wearing that medal to every family function -- even when i'm popping to the shop. and i guess that's the scary bit though, isn't it? you never really know what the team is going to look like four years down the line. also, having no plans is sometimes the best. get a decent night's sleep, eat in and spend some time with family. best combo.

The past month or so has been such a crazy time. It means so much to be part of the national team anyway, but even more so when it comes to tournaments like the Euros and the World Cup. I am so proud of the whole squad for getting as far as we did. It was heart-breaking to go out in the semi-finals when we know we could have gone further. Even more so when for some of us, it could have been the final chance to be part of a World Cup. That is something we will have to see about in four years time. I am so glad that we managed to at least come third. Now some time off before the new football season starts.

you lads singlehandedly reunited an entire nation and that's something to be proud of. what the whole squad achieved over the last few weeks was amazing. and beating france? absolute chef's kiss. you lot gave everyone so many moments to celebrate. i guess this just means you're bringing it home in 2030, yeah? but seriously, the pressure you lot must be under is wild, so hopefully you can switch off for a bit. but enjoy your time off. what's first on the agenda?
