Airfare for my Alaska cruise next summer came out $500 less than I was expecting (for way better seats too!), and then chatting with NCL about adding a guest, they realized a new sale applies to my reservation and lowered my cost by $1,100

It's been a GOOD day!

#Less than $800 for a flight to vancouver and then home from anchorage is insane #that's usually like $1200 to $1400 #and the lower cost for my room was added to my existing benefits which was already $1000 off and $300 in on-board shopping credit #so i get $300 for duty free which is where i stock up on luxury purfume at a big discount anyways #but I love my Marc Jacobs so I will probably just stick with that vs going back to burberry and IDK buy a nice purse or something #aka free money make me happy

#when they started on the road of downloadable games i believe it was the head of Playstation who flat out said #that the point was to kill the share or resale market and so even physical disks they wanted to lock to specific accounts #and there was a huge negative PR backlash until they walked back the disk registration part #and people shut up about it at least at that big level and look where we are now #they kept marching that way no matter the PR crafted apology and are still exactly where they wanted #because how dare a game they can make $90 off of be able to be handed to a friend to play via a disk #and remember back when $50 games were controvercially expensive

Me when I contact IT and tell them yes I restarted and followed any instructions I could but computer still angry and IT says they are escalating this because it is an actual issue: I am getting a good grade in service desk ticket. Something that is both normal to want and possible to achieve.

#had to send a ticket to IT today over this machine in my edit bay beeping and I was like #IT'S NOT PLUGGED INTO ANYTHING IMPORTANT THAT RACK HAS BEEN OBSOLETE FOR THE 12 YEARS I'VE WORKED HERE #CAN I JUST UNPLUG IT #and they were like 'we don't know it might be doing something though; what is it? what is it plugged into? what do those devices do?'#even though again i told you #IT'S NOT PLUGGED INTO ANYTHING IMPORTANT #It was a backup battery type thing that keeps the computers running if the power goes out #but it's never worked #and now it's beeping every 2 seconds #then a 4 second pause #then back to the 2 second beeps for 6 rounds #and driving me insane #they're going to send someone to take a look at it sometime in the next 3 weeks #i unplugged it myself problem solved #no one has noticed
