I love Carmy and Syd’s dynamic.

BUT, if Carm has zero haters, I’m dead.

That smile Syd had in season 1’s “review” when Ebra was reading the article. She was so happy and proud.

I’m holding a grudge, I’m sorry, I thought I was over it but nope. I hate how he ruined that for her.

Don’t get me wrong, I route for this man and his mental health. I want good things for him, but if he’s the Bear, I’m the elephant and I don’t forget shit.

There was some good (great) scenes in season 2.. but the whole Claire thing negates it (at least today it does).

So, things I need to see next season that might make me get over this includes :

1. Carm calling one of Syd’s dishes perfect after a taste test. Preferably set when they’re alone with one of those stare longingly as she looks the other way looks (you guys know the one).

2. Syd’s tiny notebook in his apartment. It could be a blink and you miss it background shot, not even main focus just there. Doesn’t even have to be brought up. I just need it to canonically exist in his space. Bonus points: it’s kept in his back pocket in case of panic attack, we get a glimpse of it when he takes it out slightly before realizing his cigarette pack is in the other pocket.

3. Carm finding out about the Marcus ask out. Doesn’t have to be with Syd, I just need to know his reaction.

4. Syd and Pete having the unlikely friendship of s3. Mainly to piss off Carm (and Richie). Nothing irks men more than when women are friends or like a guy they think is dorky.

5. Tina giving him an eyebrow raise during a service cause he be looking a little too much at Syd

6. A Syd sketch. Enough said

February 22 2022: Mikey's death

July 2022: 1x01 Carmy's worked at the Beef for about 2 weeks, and meets Syd on July 13th, 2022.

1x02 Hands takes place a week later. Syd is officially Sou Chef.

Mid-Late July 2022: the beginning of 1x03 Brigade.

August-November 2022: The end of Brigade 1x03 gives us clues that time is passing by, It appears it's one shift as you hear the chefs finishing orders but I think it is a way of saying the same shit, different day. Carmy walks early in the morning with Natalie's voice in the background as he's bundling up. She says "It's Mikey's birthday" which is November 15th, 1979

I just wanna share a fun fact Mikey shares a birthday with The Punisher, a character played by Jon Bernthal. I don't think that's a coincidence. it's just a fun little tidbit by the showrunners.

Late November/early December 2022: 1x04- 1x05 we can tell by the wardrobe that it's winter .

December 2022: 1x06- 1x08 takes place. Syd quits The Beef and Carmy proposes to Sydney to start the Bear shortly after.

January- February 2023: The Bear is coming.

March 2023: 2x02 is the second week of March and the Bear is officially 12 weeks to open

Mid March- May 2023: 2x02-2x10

May 26th, 2023: Friends and Family Night (as I mentioned in my last post, Chicago can have random temperature drops) Never officially warm until about late June or early July if we're lucky.

she walks to the bear after a day alone to meet her crew. she does not expect to see carmen. and he opens the door. the whole day she’s been trying to reach him; and meanwhile she was headed toward him without either of them knowing. the whole day she’s been trying to reach him; and meanwhile he’s been at the bear, working like she’s been working, on the dream they share together, the dream he invited her into, the dream he doesn’t want to realize without her. she knocks on the door, he appears unasked for (though she’s been asking for him the entire day, "i'm sorry, i don't want to share your focus.") and unexpected, opens the door and invites her in. “just wanna make you happy.” he doesn’t. he pisses her off because he was absent and didn't communicate a major decision. but that was not his goal or object. he wanted to make her happy, was specifically working towards that--“i’d love to show you. come in.”

2.3 he asks, “you happy?” he cares about the question enough to ask it, cares about the answer enough to listen for her answer. “work hard every day / to make you happy.” he fucks up and annoys her, fucks up and fails; but he cares and he’s trying. who else asks after syd? who else, outside of her father, asks her if she’s happy? 

Chances of Jeremy's mom finding this since she views his social media presence? Likely.

Keep Ayo's grandma away at all costs.

It looks as those this picture was most likely taken after they all three received their awards individually and most likely after the final award for the show.

Jeremy still had his tie on but his tie was gone once the interviews started happening post show.

Not sure which one happened first but the interview where they are interviewed by E! and produced these beautiful images

She looks like she can no longer pretend, like she’s dying for a glass a water and something to eat while Jeremy’s just leaning back, chewing gum, being cool and stoned (Matty too and Ebon was quieter than a church mouse for the majority of these interviews aside from pulling out his phone to record Ayo from the back like it isn’t being recorded from the front)

Then there was their one stage handsy moment right before group interviews started where they are in their own little bubble

I don’t know about anyone else but some of us become really goofy and touchy when high because they need to know you’re with them while also not being aware they are being touchy. It’s like help ground me so I know I’m not tripping but also we are dumb as fuck right now so this is funny af. Like there was literally no reason for the hands on her hips but he also didn’t say anything remotely funny for her to lean into him dramatically like that. HIGH.

Finally they are finishing interviews and she’s clearly coming down and ready GTF ASAP. And it was reported afterwards seeing them tear up some food together at the Governors Ball after party

To conclude: they were definitely high as a kite during most of the press and pictures with their parents lol
