For the last 2.5 years after I decided to go back to school, I have exhausted myself taking 18 credit hours while still working full time. Finally, all that hard work and stress and exhaustion has paid off. Today, I’m a college graduate.

I can’t lie and say that I’m not heartbroken that today I was supposed to walk in my graduation ceremony and get a bachelors degree, but instead am working. I can’t lie and say that I’m not heartbroken that tomorrow I was supposed to celebrate with my closest friends and family, but now I can’t. It’s hard to look at this accomplishment and not be disappointed in how it’s ending, almost like there’s no official closure, but I’m trying my best - and I think that’s the most we can ask of anyone right now.

I worked my ass off to get here, my family and friends watched me struggle a lot, and were patient with me when I had no time for them, and now it almost doesn’t feel real. I did it. So yes, I’m sad, but I’m also really fucking proud of myself. So here’s to me, and all the other college/high school graduates who are going through the same thing ❤️ at least we’re not alone.

I’m a senior in college, and for one of my classes we had to make an interactive PDF. I chose to do mine on @taylorswift getting Artist of the Decade. This is just a screen recording of it.

A few things about it:

I listed some of her awards and accomplishments, but not all (honestly our girl’s just too talented I couldn’t fit them all!)

Each album title links to that specific page in the document

Each page has a video performance of one of the top songs on that album, as well as the lyrics

I tried to stick with water color type backgrounds, taking inspiration from her own magazines with her artwork and handwritten lyrics

The font is legit a Taylor Swift handwriting font, which is absolutely incredible that it exists, so I also tried to take inspuration off her handwritten lyrics

It’s not the most in depth it could’ve been but it was, by far, the most enjoyable project I’ve ever done. I spent hours watching old performances, reading about her accomplishments, finding good photos*, etc. and have been the most pathetic, sappy, affectionate STAN while working on this.

There is not a single person in the world who has impacted me more than you, Taylor, and I cried watching you get your AMA for Artist of the Decade. You deserve this, and so much more, and I’m so thankful to have had you be a part of my journey for so long and to have been lucky enough to watch yours.

Everyone in my life knows me as the Taylor Swift fan, and I’ve never been more proud of that title. Thank you for making a difference in my life and being one of the few constant things to bring me absolute joy. I love you so much, and I’m so proud of you.
