what hurts the most is eser sees herself as collateral damage in the whole mess. she loves her people -- she would die for them -- but she can’t help but feel her life & her history happens to her, she doesn’t get a say or a choice.

“you’re an amazing teacher.” eser promises. it’s genuine, too. outside of the grecoi-turkish nations, she had very little interactions with other nations. and for the most part that was okay. but it was sort of like dealing with children sometimes. so, eser was glad she had feliciano. still, something was weighing on her. “when you and ... and your brother reunified, were you scared one of you might .... vanish.” she asks, after a moment of silence, not looking at his face, focusing instead on picking at her nail polish.
