I also missed National Daughter Day so here is this… happy National Coffee Day

Lily Castle is a toddler on a mission. She leads her Dad by the hand through from the elevator, smiling at everyone that greets them but nothing is stopping her.

The awws and oohs makes Castle grin. Everyone here called his daughter Mini Cap, and today there was no denying his two year old was her mother’s daughter. Determined to get to her Mommy’s office, dressed in the little leather jacket he’d bought for her cause it was like the ones Kate wore and her ‘mini muse’ t-shirt, he smiled at LT and asked if Beckett was in and headed to her office.

“Okay, Sweetpea, knock.”

He watched as she banged on the door and he saw Kate’s head snap up from her desk, a smile spreading when she saw it was him.

He watched as a laugh escaped her when she opened the door and Lily dove at her. “Hey little flower,” she gasped as she lifted her little girl into her arms. “What are you doing here?”

“Momma, miss you.” Lily told her, cuddling close.

“Brought you coffee,” Castle gestured with the tray in his hands and stepped into the office when Kate turned to sit on the sofa with her daughter.

Dropping down with Lily in her lap, she took in her daughters outfit and looked at her husband with a smirk.

“She looks adorable,” he defended as he handed her a cup and lended close for a kiss.

“Mini Cap is gonna stick forever,” Kate sighed. Lily giggled as Kate blew kisses against her neck. “Now I see why Daddy insisted I wear mine today. You two were plotting against me.”

“Honey, I am offended that you would think two such innocent people as such as ourselves would ever conspire against you.”

Kate rolled her eyes but she was happy they were here. 

She watched him rummaging at her desk when she tore her attention away from her the little girl babbling away to her. “Are you coming to sit?”

“Yes,” he turned with a mini cup in his hand and handed it to Lily. “There’s yours Sweetpea.”

“Really?” Kate asked shocked.

“Its a babycino. Just the foam. Its our treat, right Lily?”

Lily nodded at her Mom and Kate watched as she bought the cup up to her mouth. He sat down with his girls, his own coffee in hand and wrapped an arm around his wife as she watched Lily with the cup. It was funny. She really did look like a little Kate Beckett. 

“Good?” He asked and laughed when Lily grinned, teeth showing and turned to show the drink to her Mom.

well it’s been a long four years since the abc show castle got cancelled and there were some eps, there were some downs, but i know that i for one will never not love a writer and his muse! being that, i (lolo) and ellie ( @beckettshales ) have decided to make a discord server for all things castle!

although it’s being created to talk about richard castle, kate beckett, and all their family in and out of the twelfth precinct, it’s also just to help create friendships and talking about other things is completely welcome. this is more of a way for fans to be able to get together.

the show has been over for a little less than half a decade but i know my love for it will never waver! even if you’re just started watching, please still come! we can spoiler tag for you and liveblogging is always fun.

She stood back and watched the chaos unfold before her eyes. After all her years with this man and as their daughter grew up, this was not an irregular occurrence but once she was happy to be experiencing. They were late this year. Usually every was settled in the first week of October, when he started to plan their party, but between her workload, 

So here they were. Watching as her husband and daughter ran from costume to costume, his pint sized shadow giggling and squealing with all the excitement. Searching through the selection. Castle was really hoping she’d agree to a vampire bat costume, be the little bat to his Dracula but she wasn’t having it. There had to be something they could do as a family. Kate was happy to watch him  in his element, Lily perched on his hip as the two started to pull things from the shelf to put on.

It was funny. It shouldn’t be, but it was really funny watching her two year old running around with a Jason mask on. It shouldn’t be cute but it was and she was eating up the attention of some of the people around her. And she was distracting Castle enough that Kate was able to slink up behind him, grab a mask of her own and wait. Lily ran back and gave him back the mask, wanting to try something else on and when Castle stood, turning to his wife, he shrieked when he came face to face with Jason holding a knife. 

"Boo!"

Kate couldn’t get the mask off, her laughter too much for her as she got the better of her husband. “We’re in a costume shop Castle. Babe, you are too easy.”

“Mommy is being mean to me, Sweetpea.” 

Lily watched the two and then decided she didn’t want to be left out of the fun.It was her turn to scare Daddy. 

Together they’d tried on a number of accessories, Castle particularly enjoying the moment Lily made her Mom try on a pair of bunny ears. There was no way he wasn’t getting a photo of that, laughing when she even posed for him. Kate was so gentle when she was with  Lily, it stole his breath. And then he watched the two of them conspiring again and feigned fear when they turned to him with. They pulled a ghost mask to her face and shouted boo at him until he pretended to be scared. 

“You have definitely inherited your mother’s witchy powers, Lilypad” Castle told her, seconds before a lightbulb went off and he turned to his wife with a smile.
