..I don't think this is a few words, but I've spiralled thinking about Kakashi x sweet tooth reader and accidentally wrote something that I think is soo wholesome ><
Kakashi Hatake doesn’t like sweets.
He never has. Not as a kid, not as a teenager, and certainly not now.
They're too sugary. The texture too sticky. The taste cloying in a way that overstays its welcome. He’s turned down more dango sticks than he can count ..but you?
When you offer him a chunk of your dessert, holding it out with that soft look in your eyes, the answer comes before he even thinks..
He doesn't hesitate to sit down and accept the first piece you hold out to him.
Not because he suddenly likes sweets. But because it’s you.
You're offering something. Something you enjoy. Something you made, or picked out, thinking of him. And there’s a tenderness in that gesture that hits him harder than any Genjutsu ever could.
And he’ll eat it. Every time. Even if it’s too sweet. Even if he has to sip tea after to balance it out.
Because you love it, and that makes it special.
He’ll pretend not to notice the way you watch him out of the corner of your eye. Or how you smile widens when he doesn’t complain or when he asks for a second.
Sweets will always be his least favourite food. Still deflect when people try to get him to try anything sugary. But if it's you? If you offer him a bite, or present him something you made "just because"?
He'll take it. Every time.
Because the truth is.. Kakashi Hatake doesn't like sweets.
But he's hopelessly in love with you who offers them.
The rest of the world may never know, but Kakashi eats sweets for exactly one person.
This is the first time for a long time that I've committed to actually write something, and I'm surprised it's Kakashi lol~
By the time I finished this, I thought about sharing it with you because you're the 1# Kakashi lover, and since I really adore your works, you capture Kakashi and his character so well that my words fail me <33
wait i love this!!!!!!!!! the way you captured kakashi's soft spot... that's my favorite things in reading/writing him is putting something out there that challenges the harsh perception people who don't know him would probably have. and how it feels like the reader knows kakashi isn't big on sweets and doesn't often push him on it but every once in a while offers him some (maybe the first time was an accident but he accepted before either of them thought about it) and it kind of surprises them both how it's not so bad when it comes from someone he really loves 🥰🥰
