When I was born, you named me a name which means "God's gracious gift. Someone got God's gracious gift, for sure- but that someone was me. I couldn't ask for a better mother, one- time boss, and forever best friend. Thank you for being there, for training me in the way I would go, for your gracious discipline and generous forgiveness, for speaking truth into my life, and more importantly, for continually pointing me to Jesus and reminding me to follow, trust, and obey Him- wherever He leads. Your willingness to do that encourages me to do the same. I don't know how you did the whole full time doctor + full time mother + full time father thing. I love you for all that you are, for your kindness, your graciousness, thoughtfulness and your big, loving, warm and generous heart. I love that you are feisty & fierce but will cry at the tiniest thing AND apologize for crying. I look up to you for your humility to accept your limitations all the while keeping your eyes and heart on The One who is limitless, who has faithfully kept us, provided for us, and given us exceedingly and abundantly more than we can ask for and imagine, all these years. Happy Birthday Mom. I love you very very much and I look up to you and I'm eternally grateful that I get the honor of having you as my one and only favorite mother.
