like forces repel

I don’t know what will become of me in ten or a hundred or a thousand years. I don’t know how the stars will move to rearrange themselves and I don’t know whether the sun will still be here or whether there will be a new one in its place. I don’t know if the oceans will turn their tides backwards or if trees will start growing upside down. I don’t know anything, and there’s something beautiful about that.

But you? You make me feel like I know everything. You make me feel like nothing else matters. I could know every detail of the universe but I wouldn’t care if I have you next to me. Maybe that’s cliché, maybe I belong in a cheesy movie, but I’ve never known anything truer. You are a star. You glow even though you don’t mean to and pull everyone around you into your orbit. All I can do is thank God, thank the universe, that I ended up being one of those people.
