I made these in SAI (the black line ones), Autodesk (still color lines), and GIMP2 (animated gifs). They’re in my archives individually if you don’t want the insanity of this mass repost. Basically, to draw hands my advice is to not avoid drawing them and to draw them to proportion (fits in the face). The tip of the thumb doesn’t travel far past the knuckle line and occasionally is underneath or up to the middle knuckle of the forefinger. Like faces, people have different looking hands so don’t worry about it. My own thumb is 2/3rd the height of my palm. Look at your own hands!

I got a good response on my last tutorial, and I want to thank all of you for that. I revived a handful of questions and requests on other subjects too, so, a least for a while, I’m going to post a new tutorial (or tutorial type thing) once or twice a month. If you left a question or request you’re on my list and I promise I’ll get to you, just be patient (these things are kind of involved to make).  Also, if anyone else has a request, please feel free to comment and let me know!
