with waking nightmares;

Not even the human imagination satisfies the endless emptiness of the soul.

None of us understand what we’re doing but we do beautiful things anyway.

I don’t do anything with my life except romanticize and decay with indecision.

But how far are we truly, from where we started, under the fresh-laid moon, when we plotted to astound?

I can’t stand it to think my life is going so fast and I’m not really living it.

“Sounds perfect and convenient, you’ll never forget! You should ask for them to do it in comic sans.” Fallon laughed lightly and carder a hand through zir hair. The cat purred the more it was pet. It did not deserve the attention. “No wonder I didn’t know that adorable face of yours sooner. You never know, right? Hell you might have broken a few hearts already. I wouldn’t put it past you.”

“I-I don’t--comic sans is, uh, rough.” He laughed slightly, shaking his head. He reached to gently pick the cat up, smiling at it. “Oh--t-thank you. Um, I don’t think I’ve broken any hearts. I don’t think I’m c-capable.”

“You’re shakin’.. I didn’t mean it! I’m only playing with you, bud. I swear.” Taylor said with her hands slightly raised in defense. Unless Lucien changed over night, she couldn’t see him ever making her angry enough to really react. 

“S-Sorry, I shake a lot. Um.” He flinched when Taylor raised her hands, eyes squeezing shut briefly. “--sorry.”

“No no, I’m just dickin’ around.”

“O-Oh, sorry.”
