The colors in this art installation make me happy. I took this photo a few months ago, and when I’m scrolling through my photos, I always stop when this blast of color pops up on my screen. I’ve been struggling to process a lot of bad and sad news in the world this week, so I’m posting this photo to remind myself that there are bright and beautiful things in the world if we just stop to look around. I didn't leave the office until 10 last night. I was tired. I was ready for a nosh. As I walked through the lobby of my office building, I noticed a new exhibit on display. Rather than rush out like I do every night after work, I stopped and looked. And all the paintings were colorful and it was so unexpected to see a pop of beauty in a drab 21st century office that my heart swelled and it reminded me that love is everywhere, even in the small act of hanging your paintings in a lobby.
