I had some good health news this week (don't need hip surgery!) but I am as of yet still unable to work to support myself. My credit card bill and storage unit bill are looming over me and I haven't had any income since March. Every little bit helps! :D

i hate summer i hate heat i cant wait til it gets dark at 4 and i cant feel my toes for a few months because at least it means it wont be summer

it is 84f/29c degrees in my apartment and 92% humidity. my ac still isnt working though it seemed they thought the electric issue was fixed? i do Not do well in heat like medically. idk how much longer i can handle thisssss

#i need to get grocceries delivered but i cant rly do anything like physically demanding without the ability to get cool #apparently with that humidity its 80 degrees actual feel outside. so its hotter in here than outside #my energy bill is going to be so so so fucked #air quality is not great but i gave up and opened my windows and its so much cooler oh my god #mine #im just in like a bad mood bc its so so so so fucking hot #im sweating so much i feel rly gross too which does not help #it is taking all of my willpower to not cancel my meeting at 4 #cant rly cook anything bc. heat #god this sucks

um okay so things got rly scary for a little bit there, i smelled something burning and had to wrangle dr purrkheim into her carrier, grab my important documents, electronics, and controlled substances and leave the apartment

it seems the issue was my washer/dryer motor burning itself out and fucking up my whole panel. so theres an electrician testing it here now, theyre trashing my old washer dryer (and hopefully any ghosts w it), but things should be okay!

#dr purrkheim is remarkably calm. and i was too! when i grabbed my stuff and got out #now IVE gotta somehow calm down #mine #it was cute i heard the electrician singing in the other room while he was testing #they said my new washer dryer will be in tomorrow yay #im kinda having an adrenaline crash lmao

okay so i think im being haunted

realized i completely forgot to follow up with this. so basically something is v wrong w my electrical system. random isolated appliances (not specific outlets) will turn off and turn themselves back on 10 minutes later. this does not flip the breaker or have any apparently cause (i have watched the breaker box when this has happened)

my fridge and ceiling fan arent on the same fuse but go out at the same time randomly. my ac is like, on but not producing cool air the way it does when its working. my lights are constantly flickering, going out, coming back on. i feel like a ghost is pranking me

on friday, one of my overhead lights would go off and on when i pressed a button on my ac panel. this morning, the same light turned off and on when i pressed the button to start my dryer.

#does explain why my energy costs have been insane this month. i just assumed it was bc ive been keeping my ac higher than normal bc of heat #anyways. both maintenance guys have been like 'so you have ghosts' when i explain. and also neither have seen anything like it #its probably an issue with the breaker box itself #which could be a somewhat easy fix could not be #bc this likes to effect my fridge i cant rly get grocceries until i know if theyre going to have to shut my power off to do work #havent heard from anyone since friday at like 7pm. so rly hoping this can get it figured out #both bc i faint in the heat + need food + would love my power bill to uh. not be what it is #i wonder if we get the power company involved if i could get some of that money back #or at least stop it from screwing up my budget billing for the next 3 months #mine #i love living in an old building but oh my god. issues the renters mind cannot begin to comprehend #me + my fuckass bowling alley/mechanic shop against the world
