“Despite the effort Caillebotte put into the painting, it was rejected by France’s most prestigious art exhibition, The Salon, in 1875. The depiction of working-class people in their trade, not fully clothed, shocked the jurors and was deemed a ‘vulgar subject matter.’ 

i am moving back home and i have a lot of expenses to cover cause i got too sick to work full time for the last two years. i will be able to hop back into a union job when i get back but in the meantime i gotta build up those coffers again

I had some good health news this week (don't need hip surgery!) but I am as of yet still unable to work to support myself. My credit card bill and storage unit bill are looming over me and I haven't had any income since March. Every little bit helps! :D

my fridge and ceiling fan arent on the same fuse but go out at the same time randomly. my ac is like, on but not producing cool air the way it does when its working. my lights are constantly flickering, going out, coming back on. i feel like a ghost is pranking me
