hiatus forever :(
hey guys.
it’s been longer than anticipated since my last update, and i apologize for that as i intended on returning back to the fandom sooner. unfortunately - it’s just not going to happen. i’ve come to terms that the priorities and storylines given to the characters i used to love and relate to so much on shameless are now gone, or shells of their former selves at best.
i can’t even see posts on instagram from the cast without just feeling bitter and weird about it all. i spent 5 seasons getting to know these characters, these actors, and in so much of season 5 - that was all wiped away. the actions and dialogue from ian, fiona & veronica in particular in their last scene together in 5x12 was probably the worst television i’ve ever seen, and i can’t move past that. that moment shattered everything i’ve expected from this show and made me realize it wasn’t the same show anymore.
i’m undecided if i’m going to watch season 6 - i’m leaning towards abstaining at this point, but that may change as it approaches (fwiw - ‘faking it’ has replaced shameless as my favorite show since the debacle of 5x12). in any case, i loved posting and getting to know all of you guys and i wish everyone the best. as always, please feel free to find me on instagram - joshxbryant.
to those of you who are sticking it out - i sincerely hope that season 6 is a turn in the right direction again, but for me, it’s too late.
