i use dawn for this because to me, dawn/irida is just having dawn as the PLA protag, so its just an offshoot of akari/irida. they get together at similar ages, so its not like im putting 10 year old dawn into this

this is post-timeskip when theyre living on their own, though its the same for pre timeskip where theyre a bit younger.

having a yuriful morning. im thinking about akari and irida but theyre holding hands and kissing and snuggling

irida runs really warm which is why shes bad in heat but is okay with cold. akari just so happens to run a little colder than usual. they snuggle and it creates perfect harmony. #yuri

akari irida is so cute in all flavors but i love "theyre both kinda nervous idiots about it". akari is slightly more forward at times because irida has been more "sheltered" to herself so to speak (due to various circumstances, esp when she became clan leader and ESPECIALLY when lord arcanine fell and she had a falling out with palina) but irida will do small gestures of romance and akari just fucking explodes and dies about it and shes like lying in her bed being like "SHES SO SWEEEEETTTTTT IM GONNA DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" and kicking her feet so hard she could create a fucking typhoon

irida also adores that fwiw. she will get anything from akari and be like. in love with it and with her. shes truly thankful for it and she keeps it close to her. keeps all akari's gifts (or little things she finds while foraging that remind her of akari) in a little drawer that's like. something she'd protect with her life. and sometimes she just goes through them and reminisces about the nice times theyve had so far and thinks about how full the drawer's gonna get

oh my god irida is someone who values the vast space of hisui already but when she starts to see akari in all of it, when she walks around and can see the things she loves in the smallest of things, it just makes her like. so much more observant than she already was. which is saying a lot

like. akari says she likes a specific plant? irida sees it everywhere and always notices it and smiles. she notices some of the items on the ground that akari would collect. she'll see pokemon out and about and think of the times she's been with her on surveying. she'll see the lords of the major locations and think how akari conquered them. she already thought highly of the vast space around her, but now, it seems to make her even happier than usual. it helps her in being able to explain the importance of space to others outside of the pearl clan. ohhhh. oh im so smart
