    After the early morning call to the crime scene, Derek needed a coffee. He drove a couple of miles till he reached a small cafe, it seemed. He walked in to the empty building and looked around before he went to the counter. The smile that grew across his face was large when the man behind the counter called him handsome.

“ Well not to many people have uh shown interest in me. You know them all and most ended really bad. I am thinking maybe I uh am not meant for love.” Spencer said as he took in the image of one of his best friends. He was looking quite good today in his purple shirt.

“Everyone is meant for love, kid. It just, takes some time to really find them and for them to find. Don’t let what happened to you stop you from trying again.” Derek reached out and ran his hand across the boy’s shoulder, rubbing at it slowly and softly.

“I mean, sort of? I’m surprised more people don’t as a matter of fact. You are rather special.” Derek admitted to the younger agent with a shrug and that charming smile of his. Maybe Derek did have some feelings for him, maybe not. He was rather confused by it.
