the  thrill  and  anticipation  of  meeting  the  man  she  was  to  wed  had  kept  her  wired  and wide  awake  during  the  night  .  it  wasn’t  often  cosette  would  get  this  rush  of  adrenaline  ,  anxiety  and  excitement  .  once  her  chambermaids  came  in  to  get  her  prepped  and  ready  ,  cosette was  already  up  and  going  .  she  had  grown  tiresome  and  impatient  once the  time  of  meeting  came  near  .  some  would  suggest  nicking  a  bottle  for  liquid  courage  ,  cosette  however  condemned  it  .  it  wasn’t  until  she  entered  the  chamber  that  all  her  courage  vanished  like  droplets  or  rain  evaporating  before  the  sun  .  while  she  had  anticipated  meeting  a  boyish  man  ,  someone  as  clumsy  and  socially  inept  as  her  .  the  opposite  was  proven  .  a  true  king  with  the  allure  and  self esteem  of  a  thousand  gods  was  presented  before  her  .              ‘         your  majesty  .            ’                   graciously  her  gaze  would  lower  to  the  ground  before  presenting  him  respectfully  with  a  curtsy  .   it  was  all  she  could  utter  ,  frozen  to  the  spot  ,  unable  to  gather  her  thoughts  .  the  sudden  realization  what  this  all  would  entail  was  overwhelming  her  .  to  cure  her  nerves  somewhat   ,  cosette  would  fall  into  old  habits   .  drawing  the  same  pattern  repeatedly  in  the  palm  of  her  hand  .
