Although they are identical twins in every sense of the term, there are some subtle differences between Arshirstrasz and Urialstrasz. Alexstrasza is able to easily tell the differences between the two, but most are uninitiated in this field.
As humanoids, both follow their parents and take the forms of high elves. Arshirstrasz is taller than his brother, though only by an inch. His hair is longer than Urialstrasz’s and is styled into an undercut, but is coupled with a high fade. He has the longer face shape, as well as a longer goatee and thicker growth on his cheeks. His hair is not greying, despite being the older sibling, and both ears are pierced once with studs at the lobe. He may be seen to be wearing one or two plain rings, never particularly ostentatious or flashy, though the style of them may vary.
In contrast, Urialstrasz is the shorter sibling, and while his hair is styled similarly to his brother’s, his hair is shaved into a standard undercut without a fade. His face shape is squarer than his brother’s and not quite as long, his beard, while thicker on the chin, is kept more closely shaved on the cheeks, and is shot through with wisps of grey at the edges. Like Arshirstrasz, both ears are pierced, albeit all with rings instead of studs. Urial has more piercings in his ears than his brother, from the helix to the auricle and the lobe, and may also be seen, in a similar vein to their mother, sporting additional piercings in his eyebrow and tongue.
Both twins have traditional tattoos on both of their arms, with the left arm’s extending onto the pectoral muscle. These tattoos are made to honour their mother and the red dragonflight and for the most part look relatively similar. The only difference between the two is that Urial has a large stylised flame on his upper right arm, made to represent the fire of life they are to protect, and red worked into the upper left, whereas Arshir’s tattoos are monochromatic and the draconic ‘tobor’, meaning life, is worked into the tattoo on his upper right arm.
As dragons, it is far harder to differentiate between the two. Both dragons, as children of Alexstrasza, are incredibly large compared to the younger dragons and humans. Neither, however, have approached the size of Tyranastrasz, and in turn appear small when compared to their mother. Arshirstrasz is slightly larger than his brother, whereas Urialstrasz has the darker red scales. Both follow their mother’s colouration, with Urialstrasz having smaller patches of brown scales on his wing-shoulders and only a thin line along his spine and Arshirstrasz having larger patches – although still smaller than his mother’s – on his shoulders and a thicker line on his spine. Both have large horns growing in a crown from their head, as well as from the corners of their jaws.
Like their mother, both may be given to wearing gold bands on their horns. Arshirstrasz wears less than his brother, only two slimmer bands on each of his main horns on the rare occasion he wears them, where Urialstrasz wears the thicker bands and greater number. Neither twin, however, wears any jewellery dangling from their jaws as their mother does.
