A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

He’s very affectionate, mostly in private but sometimes he feels like showing a bit of PDA. The farthest it goes is usually a peck on the lips. He usually has his arm around you if you guys are walking though.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

The funniest and most supportive friend ever. He’s also really good to talk too. He’s that friend that’s wise without actually knowing it. Like he’ll give the best piece of advice and he’ll look at you like ‘ why are you crying?’ Also the same person who just talks to talk but ends up actually making sense and surprises himself.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

he’s a cuddle bug at heart don’t play with this man. He will get his cuddles even if he has to fight for it. He’s naturally warm and usually sleeps on his side because of his snakes. He’s also a snuggle person so he will hold you while he sleeps and just press his face to your shoulder or neck.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

He does want to settle down eventually, surprisingly he’s a family man, and he really wants at least one kid one day. He’s an amazing cook as we all know, since he loves it. He’s not too bad at cleaning, but it’s definitely not his favorite thing to do.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

Honestly, it would probably hurt him just as much as it’d hurt you. Like he’s probably on the edge of tears breaking up with you. But he tries to be as nice as possible about it, and though it’ll bother him he understands if you hate him afterwards.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

He would want to wait at least three to four years before getting married. He doesn’t rush it, but he does eventually want to settle down. He’s very big on commitment though, and when he’s interested in someone he’s interested.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

He's very gentle, he's a sweet guy so he doesn't ever really change. He's just calm all around.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

He loves hugs, he thinks they're the best thing in the world. 9/10, he hugs you first. His love language is between physical touch and words of affirmation. His hugs are very warm, and comforting. He's like a teddy bear.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

Not too fast, but usually around the six month mark.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

Now here’s the thing, when he does get jealous he doesn’t show it. He’s very quiet about it, and he’ll bring it up in private.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

Just like him, his kisses are soft and gentle. He expresses a lot of his emotions through his kisses so his mood affects the kiss.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

Very cautious. He's afraid he'll sometimes stone them and he doesn't want that risk.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

Breakfast in bed type of guy. He'll wake up earlier on the days you stay over to make you breakfast.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

Very relaxing and fun. He always has something planned, whether it's going out or staying in, he always makes sure you guys have a good time.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

He reveals things slowly, and sometimes he does so without even realizing. He doesn't like talking about himself too much, so he usually doesn't say anything unless you ask.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

He doesn't get angry, more so just hurt. It's really easy as his s/o to hurt his feelings. He cares about you and values you, so sometimes your words or even things you do can hurt him.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

He actually remembers a lot, almost down to the littlest things. He's very observant, and that also means he notices the things you don't tell him. How you like your coffee, if you drink it. The way you keep your locker organized, colors you do and don't like, even some words you don't like. He probably knows you better than you know yourself.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

You two went to a carnival once and went through a mirror maze and he accidentally stoned a worker so you guys had to get out before anyone noticed.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

He's very protective, but very subtle about it. He'll usually let you handle a situation on your own, but if he sees things aren't really going anywhere he definitly steps in.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

He put's a lot of effort into dates, anniversaries, into you. The relationship means a lot to him so to him any input from him is always 100%.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

Too nonchalant. Like he’s just not the best at showing his emotions when it really counts. He’s almost always emotionally too late for things but he’s working on it.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

He’s not too concerned about his looks. He’s probably debated on going to school in his pajamas more than one to be honest.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

Absolutely. We all saw the Scaris movie and how heartbroken he was when Cleo left. He’d be so distraught without you, like he’s in space half the time just waiting for you to get back from wherever you are.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

Having his mother like you is something that’s really important to him. She’s his only parental figure and main one at that, so he really values her opinion.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

He doesn’t like someone who cares too much about other people’s opinions. Cleo being the prime example he doesn’t think people should obsess over what other people think of them and have it control their actions.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)

What is it you may ask? It’s a musical about a vampire who seduces a girl and invites her to his midnight ball - an offer she simply cannot turn down. The whole thing sorta gives Phantom of the Opera vibes, but like, wayyy less creepy (despite it being a literal vampire). I will say now that yes, Tanz der Vampire (the original title of Dance of the Vampires), is in German, but there is a full recording with English subtitles on youtube, so please don’t let that prevent you from watching it. Now if you’re still reading, allow me to elaborate on the 80’s music and homoeroticism that I previously mentioned.

Let’s start with the tragic gay romance, because I’m sure that’s what you want to hear about first. While not a main part of the musical, the main vampire’s son falls in love with - gasp! - the vampire hunter’s apprentice. They dance together, and with stage magic involving a mesh screen and an actor on the other side dressed identically to the apprentice, it appears as though the vampire has no reflection in the “mirror”. Of course, the feeling is not mutual, as the apprentice is only at the castle to rescue the girl, who he is in love with.

Now, onto the 80’s music. Surely you’ve heard of the song Total Eclipse of the Heart, or the singer Meatloaf (even if it was just his role as Eddie in Rocky Horror Picture Show). Well, the man who wrote that song and a majority if not all of Meatloaf’s work, was Jim Steinman, who composed the musical. The soundtrack contains a decent amount of electric guitar, even a bit of synth at parts, and all around just sounds awesome. However, he only had about a month and a half to compose it all, so he reused some stuff he previously wrote, including a couple Meatloaf songs and Total Eclipse of the Heart, a song he originally wrote for a Nosferatu musical that ended up not getting produced. It was actually originally titled “Vampires in Love,” so what better song is there to fill the place of a big love duet between the girl and the Count?

Tanz der Vampire is my favorite musical ever. I’ve loved it ever since Count von Krolock appeared on the screen and first began to sing, and you may love it too. So I implore you. Please do yourself a favor and check it out. I’ll provide a link of a full recording with English subtitles here, but it should also be the first result on youtube when you search “tanz der vampire english subtitles.” (That production also has Drew Sarich as the Count, my personal favorite.) I should add though, do not watch the broadway production because it’s terrible.

If you’re still not sold, I’m not sure what else I could say to convince you, but hopefully you at least found this interesting and learned something new. Hair: Because I hate myself I decided to imagine what hairstyle they would go for if they used poly, like all the other dolls in this line. I settled for a simple side part, lilac money pieces with straight hair, since Lagoona actually doesn't have many straight haired dolls.

Make-up: The looks in this line are all dramatic upturned petal-like swoops, so I gave Lagoona some simple ocean waves on her top lid, and kept her freckles, while adding a tiny koi fish under her left eye.

Outfits: I decided on a swamp lily and kelp pattern for the mini dress, with a single strap look to distinguish her silhouette from others. Her mesh top is also similarily koi and kelp patterned. For the laced cami, I tried to keep the "one strip of lace only, and one black ribbon at most" rule. Same goes for the velvet skirt, where ribbons are limited.

Shoes: Garden eels!!!!! They just fit this theme so well, so I decided the straps would lead down to the heel, making it look like garden eels poking out of the sand. The second shoes are traditional South American sandals called caites, which are traditionally worn in Honduras (G3 Lagoona's birthplace). I made the weaving look a bit like piranha teeth, and added fins to emphasise the fish aspect.

Accessories: Corset is simply two koi fish circling a gem. Her teacup wafts bubbly waves with a small jellyfish. Her purse is a treasure chest with a kelp handle!!! I took a while with rhe snack, and decided on something savoury as Draculaura and Twyla are already bringing sweet treats. The little spoon is supposed to evoke an oyster shell with a little pearl.
