The sun had been cloaked in clouds until it had fallen; the sky, now overtaken by the moon, was more comfortable to walk in. No longer needing her parasol, she gently closes it and places it upon her wrist. There was no need for shade if she was walking in the moonlight, and what sort of strange individual would use a parasol at night and not for its required purposes? She enjoyed the aesthetic, but it was more of a medical requirement for her.
❝ Perhaps a goth...? ❞ She mused to herself, her voice hardly louder than a murmur one might hear outside their door when they were much too focused on a task. ❝ They tend to like things of that sort... or perhaps someone who isn’t paying attention? ❞
She might be one of those folks who do not pay attention, she realizes, as she comes upon a form near the bushes. Oh, well this was a sight. Were they dead-? No. No, this was not a time for meal prep; they seemed to be breathing.
What a pity; Sirius has been so hungry lately, and some of the blood banks were beginning to suspect something foul was going on with their supply. Freshly dead was the most ethical substitute; although, she’d considered going vegan and just collecting blood from the living who were intrigued by her condition.
She’d rather return to the times when she was satiated by the pastries of the palace or the freshly imported seafood her chefs could create beautiful meals with. All this blood was rather boring, and worse than that, it was really gross!
Well, she supposed she could carry the girl, but it’d be a lot better if the girl could just walk. She’d rather know if it was serious enough to warrant her dropping the girl outside a hospital. It’d really be more convenient to bring her back to her cottage, but she wasn’t exactly going to be of much use if she had a concussion of some sort.
❝ Poke, Poke! ❞ Helena said in a sing-song manner, the onomatopoeia reflecting the action of the tip of her parasol against the girl’s uninjured leg. ❝ Rise and shine! Are you concussed-? ❞
Oh, well! As sad as it would be if the girl died, at least she’d know Sirius could have a good meal! And it was ever so lovely to get to put his needs first for a change. They weren’t in her kingdom anymore; it didn’t make sense for her to keep treating him as if they were not equals. She needed him to stay alive, after all.
❝ If you’re dying—! Please do the right thing and tell me, okay? ❞
