here's what I will say
I've been doing DIY HRT. I decided to take that plunge cause I knew it was going to be difficult to get the care that I needed in Tennessee. now Tennessee wants to create a (PRIVATE ANONYMIZED) log of people receiving gender care. And there's a lot of talk about the anonymization of it all because we have had it demonstrated to us thousands and thousands and thousands of times since healthcare data has been an industry that it takes almost no effort to connect anonymized data points to an identity. I'm getting to watch in real time as transgender people in my state are saying well I can't do this now. I cannot seek professional regulated transgender medical therapy
I'm glad I'm with the DIY route because that means I am not on any medical charts as a transgender person. I may have hormonal anomalies on my chart but I have never received gender treatment.
The supreme Court liberals really locking in and striking down the Colorado conversion therapy ban is another one of these moments. The things where I'm watching in real time as people start saying "Well, I guess I should not transition right now because of this, because maybe my parents send me to a conversion promoting therapist. Or maybe I'll find a therapist and a few weeks in they start pushing for conversion. Or maybe this or maybe that"
It's honestly the point of all of these things right. It's all designed to make you afraid to take that step. They want you to be quiet, they want you to accept the gender you were coercively assigned at birth. to quote Javier Rodriguez, the point is the smoke, even more than the fire. They want us scared, they want us hiding, they want us to go underground and kill ourselves rather than come out and challenge the societal ideas of enforced gender while living joyfully as ourselves. simply existing challenges their worldview and their grip on power And all of this smoke getting pumped out to pathologize and criminalize and document and monitor every little thing that we do is all in favor of manufacturing a fear in the non-transgender public to look away from our suffering, to think for even half a second that maybe the transgenders are going too far so they can get carte blanche to institutionalize and incarcerate and murder us.
If you have even been considering HRT at any point, I urge you to get a vial and some needles now. Even if you just give it a trial run for a month, 3 weeks, 2 weeks, one single shot. This country is not going to allow us to exist, we are going to have to do it ourselves.
