Currently all but one of the KanKiba and potential KanKiba nonsense I have floating around my head are non ninja aus, but I have been sitting here pining for them while the archive is down like.
KanKiba where Akamaru is the pivot because he knows Kankurou managed to save their lives. Akamaru is the one who runs to greet him. Kiba is caught in Akamaru's wake.
Or like. Late, cold nights in Suna. Konoha is too bright and too forested but in Suna, Kiba can see every star in the sky and it's so cold he is happy cuddled up between Kankurou and Akamaru.
Sheltering from a windstorm and twisters on an allied mission and Kiba sees just how intense weather really is in Wind for the first time and they don't have anything to do for hours but sit and talk and maybe hold each other while the wind tries to batter down their shelter door.
KanKiba where they talk in the tower in the forest of death. KanKiba where they talk while the Siblings are learning about the school system in Konoha after Sasuke defects. KanKiba during Naruto's journey with Jiraiya, and them making Chuunin, and how Kiba feels when Kankurou makes jounin. Blank period KanKiba. Boruto era where Kiba and Tamaki had a good run but it doesn't last and then Kankurou and Kiba reconnect.
Honestly one of the most fun things about loving and shipping two fairly minor characters is that I can fill in all the blanks I want. And there's a lot of blanks we can fill in with these two.
