body positivity has largely failed because people started arguing for attractiveness and romantic prospects instead of respect and dignity
this is truly the best summary of what all of this SHOULD be about
i do think we can go a step further and not refer to any aspect of someone's body as a 'flaw'.
my fatness is not a 'physical flaw'. it is a neutral fact of my existence. which is precisely why it should be irrelevant to my worth.
(nor is disability, gender, or a lack of 'attractiveness' a 'flaw'. the language of 'flaw' inherently denotes a judgement of worth.)
