Hello i know this is not my usual content but i wanted to try something new
Enjoy my fellow monsterlover!!
Orc x reader, friend to lover, childhood friends
The orc and the sorcerer
“It’s for the best.”
Those were the words Mom kept repeating when she told me we were leaving the clan.
I was only seven at the time. I couldn’t understand why we had to leave all our people behind. Orcs are supposed to stick together. Everyone has a role, something they’re good at, something that helps the clan survive and grow.
That’s what we do.
So why did we have to leave?
It took seven days of travel in a caravan to reach our final destination. For a kind of hyperactive seven-year-old like me, it felt more like a hundred years.
The place we ended up in was a small town near the coast. It didn’t even have a thousand people living there. No roaring forges, no training pits, no hunting parties leaving at dawn…nothing like home.
When we finally arrived at the tiny cottage that was supposed to be our new house, I only had one thought.
“This place sucks butt.”
And I wasn’t afraid to say it either.
“Ko’ru, language!” Mom said, giving me that tired look she always had.
Mom always looked tired. I knew she worked hard, harder than anyone I knew. Part of me knew I should be grateful for everything she did.
But it was hard to feel grateful when it felt like I’d been ripped out of the place where I was born, like a tree pulled up by its roots.
Anyway… that was three years ago
…
Right now I was hiding under my bed, thinking that maybe—just maybe—if I stayed very still I could camouflage with the wooden floor and my mom wouldn’t be able to see me.
I heard the heavy footsteps of my mother coming down the hallway and started praying that my hiding spot was good enough.
“I know you are under the bed, boy,” she said with annoyance. “Come out of there before I pull you out by the ears.”
I like having my ears intact, so I reluctantly left my amazing hiding spot.
Today was the second worst day of my tiny life.
The first worst day had been yesterday, when my mom told me I would be starting school.
I went downstairs and was greeted by the scent of sweet buns and cinnamon. My mom had started a baking business the second we got comfortable in our new “home.” My sweet tooth was more than happy about having sweets and pastries made every day in my house.
My happiness lasted until my mom told me they were for clients and not for me.
Today she had made me wear the good trousers—the ones without patches—and I even had to clean the beads in my hair.
Why do I have to look “good” for people I don’t even know?
I didn’t know them, but I already knew I wasn’t going to like the kids in my class. So why did I have to be on my “best behavior” for people I didn’t like?
It was ridiculous.
After a short walk we arrived at the school building. It was small and painted a dirty red, but I guess it was okay. It had a playground, so that was nice.
I wondered if any kid would want to play “chief” with me.
My mom gave me a kiss on the cheek and said she packed a bunch of sweet rolls for me to share with my new friends.
I couldn’t help thinking, What friends?
But I know better than to contradict Mama.
Inside the schoolyard I looked around at the other kids. I didn’t know if I was lucky or unlucky to be the only orc in the class. I saw some trolls, a couple of nagas, a few other species… and a lot of humans.
It’s not that I particularly dislike humans.
But I know they don’t like orcs.
So why should I like them either?
A lady wearing a long dark dress rang a bell and we all went inside the building.
The classroom was nice. My chair didn’t squeak and the wood looked strong enough not to break under me, which was already better than my last school.
“Good morning, kids,” said the lady with the dark dress. “I’m Miss Juniper, and I will be your homeroom teacher for the next three years. So let’s get along and do our best.”
Miss Juniper started talking and talking about how important education was, and how knowledge was the greatest weapon we could carry, and how it would help us build our futures and blah blah blah.
I was half listening and half asleep when something hit me on the forehead.
I looked down. It was a piece of paper, crumpled into a small ball.
I glanced around the room to see who had thrown it, but I couldn’t find the culprit. Slowly, I opened the paper.
Inside were the words I had already expected.
“Ugly green monster.”
Well, that was quick.
I knew someone would pick on me eventually. Even after all this time, I was still the “new kid,” and if all these people had known each other since birth, it wasn’t strange that they would leave me out.
From that moment on I stayed alert.
I knew someone was trying to get a reaction out of me, and I wasn’t going to give them the satisfaction.
Time passed slowly until finally it was lunchtime.
The dining hall looked like the rest of the building—small and painted that same dirty red.
I sat at the end of a long table and opened my bag. Inside were the sweet rolls my mom had packed. They were still warm, and the smell of cinnamon spread almost immediately.
That’s when I noticed three kids walking toward me.
Two humans and a skinny troll.
“Well look at that,” said the tallest human. “The green thing brought snacks.”
The troll leaned forward to look at my bag.
“Did your mom steal those from a bakery?” he asked.
“No,” I said. “She owns the bakery.”
The other human snorted. “Yeah right. Orcs don’t bake. Orcs smash things.”
I took a bite of a roll and tried to ignore them.
That apparently annoyed them.
The tall human suddenly grabbed one of the rolls from my bag.
“Hey!” I said.
He held it up and examined it. “What is it? Monster food?”
“Give it back.”
He took a big bite.
Then he paused.
For a second he didn’t say anything.
The troll leaned closer. “Well?”
“…It’s good,” the human muttered.
The second human immediately grabbed one from the bag too.
“Hey!” I said again, louder this time.
“Relax, green boy,” he said with his mouth full. “You are too fat anyway so share a little with the rest of us”
I clenched my fists under the table.
Mama had said to share with my new friends.
These were definitely not my friends.
And if they tried to take another roll, they were about to find out that orcs don’t only smash things.
Sometimes we smash people.
And as cliché as it may sound, in typical bully fashion, they went in for another roll
I pushed the troll as hard as I could, making him stumble backward and fall on his butt. One of the boys grabbed me by the ear and yanked me to the floor, while the other aimed a punch straight at my face. I tried to dodge, but he managed to land the hit. Since I was already down, I kicked him in the stomach.
We kept struggling and fighting until Miss Juniper came and pulled us apart.
She started scolding us, but I wasn’t listening. I hated this place. I hated this stupid building and these stupid people who took my sweet rolls. I hated that nobody did anything.
The rest of the kids just stared, almost in awe—like I was some kind of gladiator thrown to the lions.
I decided to skip the rest of class. The small fence surrounding the school was no match for my strength, and it was easy to jump over. After that, I just started running until I reached a hill with a big fig tree at the top.
Once I was under the cool shade of the tree, I sat down and started to sniffle.
I hated this place. I wanted to go home. I didn’t want to go to school. I hate it here. I hate it here. I hate it—
“Are you okay?”
A small voice rang in my ears, and I immediately jumped to my feet.
At first, I thought it was the boys from school coming to make fun of me, but I didn’t recognize this person. I didn’t think I had even seen them at school before.
“What do you want?” I said defensively. “If you’re going to make fun of me, leave before I make you.”
They just looked at me, a small twinkle in their eyes. They weren’t very tall—about my age. Their hair was wild and uncombed, and their hands looked dirty, like they had been digging in dirt and grass.
What made it stranger was that, even though they looked like they’d been gardening, they carried a faint smell of ash.
I expected them to leave, but they didn’t. They just stood there, watching me.
“Are you hurt?” they asked, barely above a whisper.
I didn’t want to answer. But I could taste the blood on my lip, and my ear still throbbed from the fight.
They knelt in front of me and slowly raised their hand toward my ear. I don’t know why, but I didn’t flinch. I just stood there, looking into their eyes.
They muttered something—and the pain disappeared.
I touched my ear instinctively. It felt completely fine. They looked quite proud of themselves.
“Do you want me to heal your lip too?”
I couldn’t stop looking at them. Suddenly, I felt too shy to even speak.
I just nodded.
They repeated the same strange words, and the taste of blood vanished from my mouth.
After that, I just stood there, staring. I felt… strange. Tingly. My heart was beating like a drum.
After a couple of minutes, I managed to ask, “Are you an angel?”
They smiled, a faint blush on their cheeks.
“I’m not. I’m human.”
“Then how did you heal me?” My mom always said that sometimes angels came to help warriors in distress.
“I’m a sorcerer. Well, an apprentice—but I’ll become the most powerful sorcerer in the whole world!” they said, raising a fist into the air.
Magic… It wasn’t unheard of, but it was rare. All the mages I’d ever heard of were old, with long beards and wrinkled hands.
Not like this one.
“…I’m Ku’ru. What’s your name?”
“I’m Y/N,” they said with a small smile, extending their hand.
I looked at it. They quickly wiped it on their clothes, suddenly aware of how dirty it was. But I wasn’t thinking about that—I was staring at how small their hands were. The same hands that had just healed me.
I shook it carefully, as if I might crush it if I used too much force.
They sat down next to me and started looking up at the sky.
“Aren’t you supposed to be at school?” Y/N asked.
“I am,” I replied, a bit defensively.
I was sure they were smart enough to figure out why I wasn’t there—why I was bruised and dirty when they found me.
Their stomach let out a small growl, reminding me of the sweet rolls. Well… sweet roll. I only had one left in my bag.
“Are you hungry?” I asked, immediately feeling stupid after hearing their stomach.
“A little.”
I didn’t hesitate. I pulled out the pastry, wrapped in a small napkin, and offered it to them.
I had never seen a sweet roll disappear so fast. They ate it in a single bite.
We talked for a while after that. Y/N complimented my mother’s cooking, and I felt a sudden swell of pride.
When the sun started to set, I had to leave. On my way home, I kept thinking about how happy they looked while eating the sweet roll.
When I got home, my mother immediately started fussing over me.
“Your teacher said you disappeared in the middle of the day! And look at your clothes—you’re filthy. Some kids told me you got into a fight!”
She didn’t even pause for breath.
But when she saw my face, she slowed down. She knelt to my level and gently asked, “Are you okay, boy? What happened?”
I’d take literally anything but what I was thinking about specifically this morning was like, reader and Micah cuddling. I need to give this baby all the praise in the world. Like I wanna hold their face and smush their cheeks and kiss them all over! Ugh, so cute! If you could write something like that , that would be cool please!
Micah is super touch starved but also super afraid of psychical affection (traumas of being experimented on and all that jazz)
But for you they will gladly let you touch them
They specially love to hide their face in the crook of your neck, and just smell and feel your warmth
oh shit I didn’t know you were still posting. But you wrote a post with the concept of what if a yandere doppelgänger switched places with the reader’s abusive partner and treated the reader super good and in the end the reader chose the doppleganger. I wanted to reread it and I found it. You wrote it almost 3 years ago but I just wanted to say that I still think about that concept and your writing all these years later. Just wanted to say thanks
have a good one <3
I literally love you
You don’t understand how much I needed this
I been trying to get back to writing and I really needed some reassurance about it

I just revived out of nowhere and decided to set my camp in your inbox again!! (^o^)/
Now, I have to grab my pathetic mew mew again, imagine me grabbing him by that piece on the back of the neck of cats and dragging him into my arms.
I always got major Yuri DDLC vibes from him, like the type of dude to steal your things and do.. freaky things with them.
you know like the hearts that come out when a character is doing freaky stuff behind screen.. Yeah!!
I feel like that’s what he does behind closed doors.
-Sincerely, 🐈⬛ anon..
Welcome again anon!!! I missed youuuuu
You are more than welcome to stay in my inbox, we have snacks and hot/cold beverages!!
Now lets talk about our pathetic mew mew, if you grab them by the neck they would probably freeze like a deer in headlights because

And yes, that freak has a shrine for you, toothbrushes, an apple core, underwear…dunno where they got it though (lock your doors dude)
