Everytime I tie my shoes 

I’d always think that this, and love

are somewhat the same.

That even in the small things,

it tells us

what it is and how it is

to love and be loved.

Everybody has their own shoes.

And how we treat them, 

maybe tells us

about how we treat the ones we love.

Like how often we change our shoes,

just because we don’t want it anymore.

Like how we set it aside,

because there’s a new one

Like how we take care 

of the only one pair we have

by cleaning it and making sure

it’s spick and span.

It sure is difficult to maintain a pair of shoes, 

but it always tells something about us. 

That even though there’s no assurance of forever, 

That at any moment, it might get worn out.

but as long as you

take care of it, 

cherish it, 

and use it properly

it’ll last longer than it ought to be.
