feeling those talented fingers combing through strands was a moment of relaxation for laika , something that brought a gentle sigh from her mouth ; there was something rather therapeutic about getting her hair done which was one of the reasons she changed up her tone so often , a moment to herself when the world felt as if it was against her . “ you should see it in the morning when it’s untreated – my mom has the most beautiful curls ever but that means i got them handed down to me , it’s like tight little ringlets when i wake up . this mop takes a whole lot of straightening and heat for it to lay flat , “ the girls would continue to compliment each other until the sun set behind the clouds so she waved her hand in dismissal , chuckling slightly at the way that they continued to swap kind words despite constant refusal to acknowledge them . “ might be a little clashy , but you need to let me give you a makeover soon , “

She nodded. “I know, so many. Sometimes I get so confused that I bring the wrong thing to my customers.” Alexis wished there was a way for her to remember the different types of wine and not flounder around sometimes. She looked at the Rose in her hand. Her lips curled up into a smile as she picked it up and looked at it. “Delicious, you say? Well that’s right up my alley.” And what she could pair it with, well, she could figure it out soon.

He had noticed the brunette before but honestly she was very intimidating, despite Scout’s military background, and he hadn’t bothered to try to talk to her before now - not to mention most people who were at the gym didn’t want to be talked to.  “Thanks - yeah, I can do that no problem,” he confirmed, a soft hiss escaping from between his teeth as he swabbed at the fresh wound, though he’d felt worse in his life.  “As much as I trust the cleanliness of this gym, I think you’d have to pay me not to disinfect this, honestly.”  He gave her a grateful look as she seemed willing to stick around to help him out.  “Thanks - for helping.”

She watched and scrunched her own face as the man applied the wipe to his wound. She hated the feeling herself, so she couldn’t exactly blame him for not wanting to do it, but she knew it was the smarter thing and most people wouldn’t just bypass it as a step. “You’re welcome! Yeah,” she began to agree with him, looking around at all the equipment and people switching back and forth between machines without wiping them off. “I can’t blame you there. I just prefer no one to see me wince at it,” she let off a chuckle, setting the rest of the kit down and pulling out a band-aid and some ointment. “I’m Freya. And I’ve definitely seen you around, but I can’t remember your name. Remind me?”

Angel smiled at her before nodding. “Thank you and thank you for being so kind. I know sometimes people can be a little rude with me but I just get really bad anxiety before a performance and I talk myself out of it. God, if Nate could see me right now, he’d probably try giving me something and telling me it would calm my nerves, like his necklace with the cross on it like my Abuela used to do.” Angel laughed a little. “Whew, I needed that laugh.”

Now that is definitely something she felt she could work this, of course she didn’t think that any of this was any where close to being serious but it was rather entertaining to think about the ideas and theories; “Oh gosh so many possibilities! I mean Pickles in itself could spell out something or perhaps if you lay them out in the sand along with Sally maybe it points somewhere who knows” it was the most entertaining conversation she had in a while, not having to think about anything close to being realistic; “And if it is we are probably going to be the only ones that find it and be so rich!” it reminded her of a movie Journey to the Mysterious Island where all of the books some how connected with one and other.

Mia suddenly felt like an asshole, a frown across her lips. “Aw, I’m sorry hun…sounds like someone not worth your time anyway.” She gave a half hearted smile, scribbling something on her tickets, excusing herself. She came back not even five minutes later, sitting down with a two brownies topped with ice cream. “Sorry I’m late. Just got off work. I’m mia.” She smiled, offering her hand. “So glad we could get together for a date.”

“Why are there so many wines?” Alexis sighed, looking at the huge wine selection in front of her. She was so overwhelmed with it that she didn’t know which one she wanted to get-her, Miss I Know What Goes With Everything Rhodes. “All I wanted was some more Rose and maybe a caberet savuignon….” she groaned, crossing her arms over her chest. She tuned to the other while staring at the wines. “You think I need to go to an actual wine store instead of just buying it here?” @atlanta-rpgstarters​

“I don’t know if I can do this…” Angel admitted, staring at the stage, literally shaking in the spot that he was standing in. “What if I hit a wrong note or I forget the lyrics? I’m doing covers and then one of my own songs. If I ruin this, my label will drop me before I even get my first album made and then I will be a laughing failure.” Angel swallowed, trying to calm himself down. “I should get a drink, right? “I know that the customer is ‘always right’, but they’ve been there for three hours and taking up a huge part of my little section. I lost three customers to Hailee because they haven’t moved!” Mia huffed angrily as she sent a glare to the person sitting in table 47. Her friend grunted her apologies, busy with her own tables. Mia took the lack of response and left her alone, making her way back to 47, a fake smile plastered over her face. “Can I get you another refill? Anything else…?” She asked, but didn’t include the part where this was their millionth refill and they still hadn’t fucking MOVED.

The brunette had to admit she was frustrated. Her first meetup with someone on a dating app and they’d so obviously stood her up. She’d heard nothing the first hour, so she’d already assumed that she’d be alone for the evening, but this place was too good not to stay and finish her meal, and have a few drinks. By the time she’d realized, she was more than a few drinks in and had been picking at the remainder of her meal when the waitress walked over. “If you can get me a date that will show the hell up I’d take it,” she said, lifting her drink before downing it. “Sorry I’ve been here for so long, I uh, don’t really want to go home at this point just to be alone,” she added.

The thud of the punching bag was comforting, in a way, and Scout found himself getting lost in it, the repetitive motion easy to just continue to do.  Working out had always been sort of therapeutic for the man, because it was easy to turn off his brain, which was on overdrive lately.  Clipping the bag once more, his knuckle split open from the repeated abuse, and he let out a loud hiss, sucking air between his teeth and he pulled his hand to his chest, the pain wrenching him out of the place he had been in.

“Shit - do you know where the first aid kit is?  I’ve never had to use it….”  He felt pathetic, and like a spectacle at the gym, even though probably no one really noticed, save for the person close enough to ask.  “I don’t really think they’ll like it if I bleed all over the floor.”

Freya was definitely a frequent at the gym, heading there at least twice a week when she didn’t feel like going to the park for a run or using her treadmill. She’d developed a great routine for herself, picking out about ten machines before she did her cardio. She had just finished with her last machine when someone nearby asked her if she knew the location of the first aid kit. She looked over at them, eyes peering down at his knuckle which had clearly gotten nicked pretty hard. “Yeah of course,” she confirmed, heading over to the counter at a fast pace to ask for it and racing back over to him once it was in her hands. She opened it up and first grabbed an alcohol wipe, handing it to him. “You might want to do this part yourself, it’ll definitely sting,” she gritted her teeth. “Unless you just want to skip it and go right to the band aid, and clean it later.”

never before had she really cared so much about looking nice , and perhaps it would end up having to opposite payoff – her and benny had seen in each other in every situation , with blood dripping down their faces and sweat beading at their brows , and it had never really mattered whether they were polished or not for a love to blossom . maybe seeing her all dolled up and conventionally pretty would turn him off , break the ‘ bonnie & clyde ‘ vibe and leave them without a leg to stand on . “ shut up , that’s so not true . you’re way prettier and you don’t need dye , tattoos and piercings like i do to make you look cool . it’s effortless , “ leaning her head back into her friend’s hands those hazel eyes fluttered shut , enjoying the free massage that came with the assistance . “ why doesn’t you dye a test strand blue to match ?? “

Minnie couldn’t help but laugh at the conversation they were having right now. Literally anyone and everyone would just assume they were looking into this way too deeply but it was amusing to think of all the possibilities; “What if the peppers were a metaphor for something? Like maybe he was picking something, that some how relates back to being a pepper OR-..” Freya had definitely gotten her started now; “What if the word ‘peppers’ was a code word for something?” that would have definitely been interesting to think so; “Or perhaps we are the ones that is onto something right now”
