Hi, new to the whole intersex discovery. Went through estrogen replacement whilst in military service, but wasn't given an explanation and VA healthcare is 🗑️ and attempting to get assistance thru them

Well... Now I'm not too sure where I land with it all. I always struggled with gender, to include dysphoria being AFAB, but even then I feel like there's a large about of dysfunction with my own set of genitalia.
Even when properly seated, when I urinated tampons would just come out or they would fill inside of me then spill out which is NOT good (switched to period underwear which was easier). But then suffering from a very small vaginal canal, penetration (even with smaller genitalia) is incredibly painful, arousal is painful. Just everything around sex and stuff sucks, I have a lot of dysfunction when it comes to orgasms and I don't even know where to start with any of this.
I just don't know what terminology to use or really how to explain this to a doctor without they telling me I'm incompetent 😞 like obviously I know how to do a lot of things in life....

my PCOS hid under the radar until my mid 20s because I was on ADHD meds that didn't let me gain weight (which I guess also suppressed the androgen stuff), but now that I'm off them I've gained weight AND MORE FACIAL AND BODY HAIR AND I'M SO HAPPY TO BE FUZZY AAAAAAA

So I don't know if there's any point of "treating" my PCOS if I like the androgenizing effects like more body hair (I begrudgingly accept the acne) because. While I don't want to be at risk of death, I also love how the extra testosterone my body makes makes me look.

This isn’t really a confession and more of a question, but; I’ve been seeing the term “transmascfem”/“transfemmemasc” going around, mainly on intersex blogs, and I would like to know if perisex people are allowed to use it? I’m not sure if it is specifically an intersex identity or if it just happened to be popular in intersex spaces. I’ve seen it been described as “a term for multitransitional individuals who are both transfeminine and transmasculine” and I do feel like that fits my experience pretty well, but I don’t want to use the label if it’s meant for a specific intersex experience.
Sorry if this has been asked before! I just learned about it recently and though I’ve always just called myself agender, I’ve been looking for a word that more accurately describes my transition.

I just realised that I'm probably intersex (PCOS, if it actually counts) and it's weird. I know I was put on puberty suppressors at a young age, but nobody bothered to tell me what they were. As I hit puberty, I started getting comments that cis girls weren't getting, mostly about my body and facial hair and being pressured to remove it, and annoyance and surprise at how fast it grows. My mother even told me that she wanted to put me on oestrogen to "get it under control".
To make matters worse, I'm a trans guy. I can't be myself in my body, and the little things that give me euphoria are not "appropriate", like actually liking my masculine characteristics, like my body hair and deeper voice.

My perisex friends knew I was intersex for some time, now they're wishing they were intersex as they say life would be easier if they were?? They were also belittling the countless amount of intersexism i've faced and downplaying my medical trauma ..

for a long time I felt alienated from other women before I transitioned because I did not have the “right” genital formation, now the same alienation happens in trans circles post transition for the same reason :(

possibly a bit of a hot take here but i think those photos of naked intersex babies that show up anytime you look up something intersex-related should be seen as CSEM
you think your baby might have clitoromegaly? measure it. you think your baby might have a micropenis? measure it. you don’t know if those measurements qualify? ask an intersex person. why tf do you need a whole ass picture of another naked baby to make sure that your baby is “normal”? more importantly, why is the shape of your child’s genitals so important to you?
i think taking a photo of a baby’s genitals, no matter how “weird” they might seem, is sexual exploitation. we have medical diagrams of what this looks like. we don’t need to abuse kids to satiate our curiosity.

this is intersexism.
intersex people have bodily autonomy. our bodily autonomy should be respected. it's inappropriate to take photos of our genitals without our consent (and infants can't consent on it). it's inappropriate to upload this photo on the internet. it's awfully intersexist that society doesn't see a problem in it. it's nauseating practice that should die.
random snippet of intersex joy because i was going to confess something sad but then i got distracted by something happy: it's been very cold and cloudy where i am in the southern hemisphere, but there's a really nice ray of sunlight that's just come in the window and it's very nice and warm. it's a nice morning, and i got a really good takeout tea from a place. i hope every intersex person gets to experience this kind of small joy. 💛💜💛

Sometimes I feel really weird about being intersex because I'm a trans man and have NCCAH. Like, in my case, being intersex was incredibly gender affirming and led to me being perceived as a man way before I started my transition. It's sort of funny looking back on it but at the same time I feel so awful finding it funny because so many of my intersex siblings are mutilated and abused by the medical system, meanwhile my condition was literally beneficial to my life and mental health because of traits like early facial hair, clitoromegaly, androgen-typical fat distribution, etc.

Questioned if I’m intersex or not for a while, eventually decided that I’m probably not and to not worry about it. Then I found out today that I actually have more going on than I thought, and my anatomy is absolutely divergent from what is typically expected. Feeling very ???!?!? about it.

Something that's always bothered me in this community as someone who is intersex with Hyperandrogenic PCOS is how advocates and other intersex people make a point to ONLY include Hyperandrogenic PCOS as intersex, but not the whole variation. It shows that there's a poor understanding of what PCOS is, and it's exclusionary. Other even medically recognized variations come with a spectrum of symptoms. For example, CAH/NCAH, which PCOS is quite literally a sibling variation of, is a spectrum. Not everyone with CAH/NCAH is visibly hyperandrogenic. Some people with CAH live with the more medical and disabling aspects, but not the secondary sex characteristics, but we don't go around saying, "Only people with CAH who have hyperandrogenic traits are intersex." Because that would be ignorant and bigoted, so why is it okay to do to PCOS?

It's legitimately mind-boggling that TERFs can't comprehend an actual real live intersex person speaking to, and disagreeing with them bc they're so used to using us as theoretical pawns. They look at my whole ass profile and assume I am perisex and trans and just using intersex people as a talking point.
