I don’t think i could get over you or anything that came before. In France they say ‘“Il vaut mieux prévenir que guérir.” Which means “It is better to prevent than heal.” But nothing could’ve prevented us.

she is smart, and gorgeous, and all those words in the middle. she is strong from the inside and out. A model of perserverance and intellect. but she isn’t always okay. it’s cliche to say that the big hearted can fall and that the sun always finds a way to go down.

I will always tell her I understand, even when I don’t. I will always tell her it’s okay, even when it’s not. I will always tell her she’s beautiful, especially on days when she doesn’t think that of herself. I will be her shoulder and the arms that hold her between.

she hasn’t tasted the sweetness, the oh-so tenderness of another soul in ages.

To love you isn’t giving you flowers, but yes I’ll still buy you them. It’s to think of you during a sunset because at least I know I’ll get to see it again, endlessly.

Loving him wasn’t the problem. It was realizing that he couldn’t help her love herself.

Yes, there were times we found love in other things; in other words, other people. But that’s alright, it’s fine to sometimes forget that you have this beautiful thing right in front of you, to get distracted. What isn’t alright is taking that distraction and making it a priority.

Many sunsets ago, I told you I loved you. Rather that, I told myself I loved you. Now I know that I have lied, I would rather watch the sun rise.
