i was assumed female at birth and raised as such and was later found out to be an intersex chimera and have ovotestes, aka "true hermaphroditism". i naturally experienced parts of both male and female puberty and was coerced into an artificial feminizing puberty to align with my assigned sex, until i later refused to continue "treatment." i have had persistent sex dysphoria for my whole life with a mismatch between the biology my brain expects and some parts of my body, and as of the past year and counting, i am finally at my most stable and comfortable on testosterone.

i just wanted somewhere to be open about this aspect of my life while also discussing political sex based issues and the way these things interact and criticizing mainstream feminist spaces, as well as my problems with the rf community regarding intersex issues + a place to be open to debate and questions regarding that.

it's genuinely just not productive to try to do. i do not benefit from being arbitrarily labelled as only "truly" male or female while possessing both SRY+ and SRY- cells and both an ovary and a testicle.

like my medical needs are not the same as that of a heavily virilized but still truly female person, and my development pathway was not the same as them either. my anatomy is literally a mix of a virilized female and an undervirilized male development due to having both active female and male genetic code.

disavowing literally any of my cells or organs as "not truly mine(something i've seen said to justify the idea literally everyone ever has a singular true sex)" is disheartening and a similar sort of material-reality-rejecting magical thinking that TRAs use. it feels disrespectful of the actual material makeup of my body and personhood to expect me to "pick a side" and then reject the rest.

i understand people like me are a fringe minority within a minority, and i agree most intersex people are exclusively of one sex and had, for whatever reason, either a developmental problem that masculinized or feminized them more superficially, or a single genome genetic problem that caused a variation of sex reversal for their whole body. but it doesn't benefit feminism nor people like me to insist it's absolutely impossible for someone to be sexually mixed via grasping at straws to stick to this.
