Did something I've been meaning to for literally years. I think I started planning in 2020 and got the material in 2021 after the lock down lifted a bit.

I made a new pickguard for my Epiphone Firebird Studio (ﾟ〇ﾟ)

Now this doesn't sound like that big of a deal. Cuz it wasn't. I just couldn't get my shit together for the last four-ish years. Depression has been hitting me hard. But today I finally managed to gather myself and do something kinda fun. Like a hobby even!

So yeah, not a huge deal, but still pretty cool to me. Maybe I'm starting to be able to live life again. Fingers crossed 🤞

#its a guitar btw #a rather inexpensive but hard-to-find guitar that i spent literally years trying to track down and finally bought in 2016 or 2017 #and ever since i bought it ive disliked the white pickguard #like its not awful i just think black matches the headstock and the knobs and the switch and pickup surrounds #its the only white thing on the guitar #and im not a huge fan lol #so i made a black one and it looks much better imo

Not to start discourse but I will be forever mad that every time I go into the Goncharov tag I see people complaining that they watched the movie expecting a soft queer romcom about pure cinnamon rolls and instead they got a complex and violent film about deeply flawed people where everyone dies.

By all means, engage in fandom however you choose. But don’t blame the source material for not being consistent with some random fanon on tumblr. Kinda wild to get mad that the movie about violent, morally dark grey criminals has violence, crime and moral greyness in it. You know? Also, imho given the time this movie was made, the queer coding was daring; this is NOT an example of queerbaiting.

a thing about me is i basically never notice a wig or other kind of hairpiece in tv/movies. it has to be party city territory for me to even twig it. people will complain about characters' wigs looking bad and i will nod along but there is like a 90% chance i did not notice for a second while watching. i consider this mostly a blessing.
