So now there was a formula, a recipe, for making slurms, and a new genre was born: Slurmcore, the weird cross-faded cousin of nightcore and daycore. Generally speaking, a good slurm uses a song ripe for slurming, riffs on the original but sounds distinct from it, and has funny visuals to go with it. most slurms are “straight from the tap”, meaning aside from the beat warping, pitch shifting and some slight audio tweaks to improve the quality, it hasn’t been edited much. slurms “with additives”, though is where things get more experimental, with ytp style audios mixed in, more extensive distortion and other changes that completely transform the song. I prefer my slurms au naturale personally, but that’s just my opinion
