I wonder who still uses this

I wish you knew how it felt to lose someone. I wish you knew how it felt to never be able to speak to them again. I sat at every funeral quietly, filled with words I will never get to use because that person is gone. I say I love you every chance I get because I know it'll come a time where I can never say it to you again. Life is short when you lose yours in your 20's. Life is short when you watch the one that gave you your life die in your 20's. Life is short when you watch the woman who raised you die in your 30's. Life is short when youre expected to keep going after losing everything in your 30's. Life is short when you're expected to smile after going through one of the hardest moments of your life, silently. So when I say I love you I mean it. I can't help but say what's on my mind. Because all I can think about is the end, it's all that I know. It's hard to let go when we live for these moments. It's hard to forget when we worked for these memories.
