You showed me what it was like to repent

To be upset for the way I acted

You always forgave me

For being mean

For not knowing how to depend on someone

You’re the only person that showed me how to forgive someone

My best friend

The best person I know

So sweet and so kind

So let me just remind

Remind you that you deserve the best

Cause you’ve ace every test

You deserve the world

So don’t forget you can do anything

A mystical man

Beautiful and enticing

With art on every wall

And a poem in every book

I inhale your words

And exhale the thought that we could be together

Because if you ever whispered to me the word forever

I don’t think I’d be able to keep it together

The fear of losing him was way too much

And I know it’d be the same with you

I’m still too broken to hold your hand

But do you think that maybe we could stand—

In the same room or maybe at the mall?

I’ll look into your eyes and promise not to fall

I just want a glimpse of the way that things could be

Lost in the pain and there’s no way out

Sitting here and all my tears are falling out

Feeling helpless
