She's going to get huge, but she'll never grow up. Every time you look at her you'll see her like you did when she came home, tummy shaved from her spay and the sweetest little face. She'll chew up everything she can when you leave her, and she'll steal your laundry so she can sleep in it. "Piper is SO smart" and! you do potty train her.

Other things are more difficult. Did you give her anxiety or was it unavoidable given the circumstances? You will learn so much about her anxieties, and your own. You are never going to be the perfect owner, the one she deserves, but you will love her so much you are going to keep trying.

She is going to be so important. Your fondest memories are going to be sharing the bed with her, back-to-back, and the deep groan she'll make after settling down. She's going to be perfect, and a nightmare, and she will be the reason you finish school and get a job. She is going to be SO important.

You are going to lose her. It will be sudden, and devastating, and four months later you still can't convince yourself it wasn't your fault. But you did have her. And you loved her. And she loved you.
