Now that I have a computer I am going to be remodeling this blog so if links and stuff don’t work for a while that is why,
Edit: This is a lie. I’m lazy and trying to rework everything is more work than building up fresh. New home soon.
Sakuya would come home one night to find Tada pouring over a blueprint, scribbling notes in a notebook next to him.
“Hmm?” Sakuya tilted his head to get a better view at whatever Tada was working on. “What you doing? Actually, it’s probably best you don’t tell me the details if it’s related to your other job.”
Tada hugged him back with one arm. Careful to keep his injured one out of the way, “I love you Sakuya. I’m sorry.” His voice was soft, tender. He knew he pissed off Sakuya and it would be quite some time until he was forgiven. “I know I said I wouldn’t go, but I promise that’s that last big lie I’ll ever tell.”
“That phrasing has me worried.” Sakuya took note. “I’m really going to have to run a lie detector test every time you leave the house aren’t I?”
“No babe,” Tada kissed him. “Cause once this whole Gangler bullshit is done, I’m just going to be a simple florist with an amazing cop boyfriend.” He smiled at Sakuya.
“And how long will that take? Do you know? Until that day comes I have to make sure you don’t go anywhere solo again. I’ll be joining you next time.”
“No more solo, I promise,” Tada kissed him again. “I got lucky. Maybe I won’t get so lucky next time. Now,” Tada yawned. “I’d like to pass out now. I’m exhausted. I just spent the last six hours in the E.R. an I’m a little loopy from painkillers.”
"Serves you right. Now come on." He helped him into their bedroom. "Lay down and I'll get you something to eat."

“I talked to them, it was my first visit so I just…told them everything,” Tada said while he ate. “It felt good.”
“I’m proud of you. It must have took a lot out of you to do that.” He dropped the subtle glare he has had on his face since he walked through the door. And in its place was a warm smile.
“Yeah, I just…after Krasha decided to use the family mansion for a meeting I figured better late than never,” Tada half shrugged.
———-
In the wee hours of Saturday morning after a trip to the hospital Tada slipped into the house and frowned when he saw Sakuya passed out on the couch.
“Stupid Tada…” Sakuya mumbled in his sleep. He tried to stay up and wait for him but yesterday had been busy. He heard footsteps and shot up. “Oh, thank god.”
“Told you I’m too stubborn to die,” Tada replied with a weary smile. Really the doctors had insisted on keeping him, but Tada was adamant about going home. They had stitched him up and insisted he take several weeks off.
"Don't start with the 'told you.' Just let me enjoy the fact that you are alive without being upset." He hugged him. "I'm upset though. Probably more than I've ever been before. But that'll come later."

While Sakuya was on the phone, Tada had put away the blueprints and notes in a hiding spot he knew Sakuya wouldn’t think to look and started working on dinner.
“I’m back and just because you’re fixing something that smells absolutely amazing doesn’t mean you’re off the hook.” Sakuya entered the kitchen with his arms crossed.
Tada chuckled and turned to Sakuya with a smile, as if he hadn’t been planning his own capture just minutes before. “But let’s forget about it tonight, my head hurts from looking at those blueprints anyway.”
“Well I hope it hurts.” He huffed and sat at the dining table. “I’ll drop it for tonight but don’t think this is over, dude.”
“Uh huh?” Tada was skeptical as he plated dinner. “What’re ya gonna do? Sic Aniki on me?”
“I don’t want it to come to that but if it has to then… Maybe. And yes I called you dude. You’ve lost babe privileges.” He pouted angrily.
Tada just shrugged, “We aren’t talking about it any more tonight.” He set Sakuya’s plate in front of him.
“I visited my parents’ shrine earlier,” Tada said, changing the subject as he sat across from Sakuya.
A part of Sakuya wanted to ask if the visit would be his final one before going on a suicide mission but that would be going too far. So he just started to eat instead. "How did that go?" He asked.

Tsukasa stopped, “Jack heel. Sakuya, what’s going on?” She asked, sounding less like a stern superior and more like a concerned friend.
“Probably shouldn’t say this but Tada is going to do something stupid. And that’s coming from ke so you know it’s bad.” He admitted.
“What is he doing?” Tsukasa asked.
“He’s stealing something for Krasha. I know this is a trap. Heck, even he knows. But he is still planning on doing this. He’s stupid.”
Tsukasa sighed, “He’s going to hate this, but call Daisuke. Maybe the two of you can talk some sense into him.”
“That was the last resort. I may be the one dying if I go that route.” He groaned.
“Okay. Right, just…try to talk him out of it and if you can’t by the Thursday night call Daisuke. I gotta go, I need to get back and help Keiichiro with dinner, I’ll talk to you tomorrow,” Tsukasa told him.
"Fiiiine." Sakuya whined. He felt helpless. "I'll do the best I can. I really don't want to have to get Daisuke involved. Anyway, give Jack a rub for me. Thanks and goodnight." He hung up.

Tada’s smirk turned to a scowl, “You little shit. Not changing my mind though. I’m still going.”
“I refuse to allow this.” Sakuya said before simply getting up and leaving the room. He made sure he was out of earshot and called Tsukasa. “Come on, pick up.”
“Yes Sakuya? Jack no! heel!” She was out taking Jack for his evening walk.
“I need some advice.” He tried to think of a way to phrase what he wanted to say. “Okay, what if someone I knew was about to do something dangerous and possibly illegal, kind of. They won’t listen to me when I tell them not to do it.”
“Well, Jack please, sorry,” There was some scuffling as she adjusted the phone and leash. “Best thing you can probably do is let them do it and suffer the consequences. If they’re too stubborn to heed your advice, without any legal way to detain them there’s not a lot you can do.”
"Well normally I'd agree but what if they won't be alive after to suffer the consequences." The worry and underlying anger very present in his voice.
