But she could never, in the end, fully contain the depths that her pieces carried for him...

And Ruri reached out to him in that strange world they both found themselves lost in. Carrying the embers of war, wanting to understand it completely, no matter what...

Day 5, crossover!

These two are travelling together- along with Yugo, Serena and Yuya - chasing Ruri's curiosity about the phenomenon of the distortion and rumours of Golden Boughs...

Ruri may not have much experience in combat, but she's incredibly compatible with EGO in general, so finding pieces for her to wear is pretty great.

Sora sticks to the weapons he knows... his story is cruel, but this is the start of a turn up!

They fight very well together.. maybe I should do some ruina edit of these two someday....

"I don't do it because I'm nice or above the war or anything that lofty"

Ruri is in trouble once again. She was spotted taking down a monster, breaking orders to stay at the base. That, in and of itself wouldn't be a big deal… but rather than striking out on her own or even backing Resistance members, she was seen rescuing a pair of Academia soldiers.

"You see, I just want to see their world disrupted."

According to her, one member of the triad had already been killed and another was heavily wounded. They were all as good as dead.

"I want to see their faces when I turn everything they know upside down. When I kill their way of life. When I pull the rug from under their feet."

She's always been troublesome, but it has been getting worse and worse, lately. Shun won't let her take part in official missions and so, she assigns them to herself, wandering around the ruins of Heartland in search of things that catch her attention.

"They were two dead kids walking, but I changed that to my whims. In their world, that was the end, but I reached in and upturned the most fundamental laws of nature they live by. There's nothing kind or nice about that."

Her actions often get misunderstood. She hears it frequently- that she is far too nice and understanding to the enemy. That she needs to get her priorities straight. That she's being too idealistic.

"Now they will go back to the cold, with the very foundation of their lives challenged. It's a wound that will bleed them out just as well as a monster would. If that means nothing to you, then there's no way we can understand one another."
