Hello anon, thank you for your message.
The theme you’re asking about is genuinely complex, and something I’ve been meaning to write about.
Still, we can start with a foundation.
🜂 Before Anything Else: Agency Anchors
A hypnotist working ethically can set phrases that protect your sense of self:
“You are the owner of your own mind. I only suggest paths.”
“Your unconscious keeps what matters to you safe.”
“You choose what to accept, reshape, or dismiss.”
“Nothing enters your mind without your permission.”
During the process, they can reinforce:
“Your mind can reject or adapt any suggestion.”
“Your protective filters remain active.”
“If something feels wrong, let it slide past you.”
“You have control over the depth and direction of this experience.”
These are basic agency pillars. No ethical hypnotist should fear them.
🜁 For Self-Hypnosis: Empowering Frames
If you work alone, you can anchor yourself with reminders like:
“I am the one shaping the experience.”
“My mind chooses, not the voice.”
“My intuition is my first guardian.”
This shifts the dynamic from passive to active.
🚪 How to Pause or Exit Trance (Safety First)
Preparation > technique. Always.
Agree on simple signals with your hypnotist (or with yourself if using recordings):
Raise a finger or move your feet.
Take three slow, intentional breaths.
Or simply open your eyes—always allowed.
These are not “breaking” anything. They’re boundaries.
If your difficulty is resisting suggestions, you can practice intentionally:
Beginner:
Use an audio you don’t like.
Try not to drop.
If you feel yourself slipping, pause the audio.
This builds the first layer of control.
Medium:
Same disliked audio.
Allow trance… and halfway through, wake yourself up deliberately.
These aren’t about “fighting hypnosis”—they’re about building mental muscles.
🕯 Advanced Work (For later)
There are deeper practices:
mental palaces, safe inner rooms, symbolic defenses, filters, shields.
Those take time and internal literacy.
I’m preparing posts about them.
But remember something essential:
Your mind is yours. You lend it for a moment, never surrender it.
I’ll leave here a couple of links to posts from my secondary blog:
(They’re tools for communication, not obedience.)
