Advertisements for Echo Night and Shadow Tower from the April 1998 issue of Playstation Dengeki. From Software's two productions of the year were released within mere weeks of one another during the summer. Not at all a bad time to be alive.
If you haven't, give a shot to Hearts Collide. It's a doujin game made with Sword of Moonlight (aka King's Field Creation Tool), and it feels almost like closest thing to Echo Night out of games made with that tool (others are closer to KF/ST, though also worth a note). Game is available on vector, the creator's blog has a link.
It never ceases to amaze me the sheer number of summer/holiday-themed games you can play on the Playstation 2 system. Far more than I could fit into a single frame, in fact.
Kaze no Notam has one of my favorite soundtracks ever. Absolute chill. On another note, could you please make a list sometime later? Maybe with additional mention of something from PSP, if possible. Thanks in advance...
