“Well, it’s easier than you think, to find the right prey. You just have to know where to look and what to look for.”

A deep sigh. “My prey of choice varies, depending on what I find first. A bitter, angry man who takes his rage out on his innocent family, for instance. I wait until he’s alone, of course, leaves the house. No need to traumatize the little ones.”

"I don't CARE, all right? I don't CARE what your hunting methods are, I don't CARE who your preferred victims are, I didn't ASK for your help, and you don't need to teach me to hunt like some damn newborn!"

Especially considering what he'd decided to hunt down instead of humans. He'd been hunting them for decades now, long before he'd been turned.

He turned to run up the side of the building to the roof. He could get a better scent from up there... and after another moment of deep calming breaths of the night air, he found just that.

Deep ruby eyes scanned the much larger man, skepticism painting her features.

“Hmph. If you say so. I suppose you don’t need anyone to remind you what happens when you go too long without.”

The way one’s instincts would take over to ensure survival…the way it could lead to harming someone who REALLY didn’t deserve it.

No, he didn't need anyone to remind him. He was just looking for the right... prey. He hated referring to it like that, even if only to himself.
