I really appreciated your question. I hope my quick tips helped you! I also found that the more confident you are as a person and with yourself, the more confident you feel when public speaking. What are some tips for public speaking/ class presentations for people who are normally extremely shy? I had to give one last week and I started shaking and my face got all red and it was terrible :(

Hey Anonymous, That is actually a common problem for us Public Speakers, called Speaking apprehension! It comes from a bunch of extra energy in your body and it comes out through shaking and everything we don't want people to see! A few QUICK tricks that will help. Before you speak...1) take a walk.. get rid of some of that energy 2) in your seat, real discreetly, squeeze your seat and let go a couple time.. muscle contractions help 3) Practice a lot!! 4) cliché, but think positive... lastly, during your speech... If you use note cards, write on them "youre doing great... Beeassttt... Do Work.. :-)" any extra positive reinforment helps... and incorporate humor... It relaxes you and the audience!
